Angel's Dad Novels & Stories

He didn’t find it. “Before I say anything,” he said carefully, “you need to understand that what’s between Eli and me doesn’t take away what he feels for you.” Her stomach tightened, a cold, hollow thing opening up inside her chest. “So there is something.” He didn’t deny it. “Dad,” she whispered, the word cracking on its way out, “how could you?” Damian leaned forward, elbows on the table. “It didn’t start the way you think. It wasn’t planned. It was… gravity. Dangerous. Yes. But controlled.”

Even my mother’s silence had been its own betrayal, her fear sealing my fate. When Damian stepped out of the shadows, I almost wept. My father’s right hand—yet the only one who had not abandoned me. His dark eyes softened at the sight of my tears. “Angel,” he murmured. “We must go. I’ll carry you.” He shoved a rag between my lips. “Bite down. This will hurt.” The clang of steel filled the room as he uncovered the hidden trapdoor, a relic of my grandfather’s wars. Cold air rushed from below, damp and suffocating, smelling of earth and secrets.

What was bugging me was why my dad would be owing Theodore money. "L-look, please just give me some time to find the money," he said fearfully. I'm sure he had sobered up a bit. "No!" Theodore yelled angrily. "I had given you 6 months to get my money back but you rather spent it on alcohol," he continued. My dad had been owing him for that long? But how? Why? He gestured one of his men for something. The man gave Theodore a gun making my eyes widen in shock and fear of losing the only family I had. "Say goodbye Jones," he said pointing the gun at my dad.

Sylvester said and dean's smile widened amusingly. "Young dude, don't you think your too rude to your future father-in-law" Dean said, his smile disappearing and a serious expression formed on his face which felt like he meant business. Sylvester frowned for a moment, refusing to believe what he just heard but upon seeing the serious look on dean's face........ Sylvester wandered back to the day Angelina had confessed her past to him, she clearly explained that her dad and mom was late so there was no how a dead man could probably come to life. And even if dean was really Angelina's dad, why didn't Angelina recognize him?.

"Angel is a name. And that name belongs to my Father's most loyal, and most deadly, operative. And they just received the final order to take care of all loose ends...."

And like the first time they met, when she was crying in the lost of her daughter, her lovely daughter. The Angel, offered her a hand, giving her a sweet smile almost like of her daughter. She did not want to take his hand but she did while looking at his mouth. Memories of when he said, "I don't need a mother and I am not allowed to do this but I don't follow rules. I make the rules."

It could have bitten her. He greeted his teeth and swore. Heather and her entire goons will pay for laying their filthy hands-on Angel. “Hey …..Baby ….it is me…don’t be afraid.” He said with a soothing voice hoping to capture her attention. Angel was dumbfounded. She knew that she asked for her father to appear in front of her out from nowhere but she never imagined that it will come true. It felt kind of creepy. Wait a minute…… she must be hallucinating. Her dad has never cared to come and see her, let alone eat dinner with her or take her to school. He was always away minding his own business as if she was an invisible inconvenient.

“But dad- I mean sir.” “But I don’t want to.” “No I'm sorry sir.” “It’s just she is my friend… um I mean used to be my friend.” “Okay, I promise, I love you daaa- I mean sir, sorry sir.” It was hard to tell from a one sided conversation but I'm pretty sure that was her dad and as far as I knew her father was dead. This means I need to follow her and find out more. I relayed the conversation to my father and kept close to Angel. Father was just leaving the school with Penny and Bobby. I was leaving the school because Angel was leaving a well.

"For the goodwill of heaven's council and by the votes of all fellow Angels, Laurent, is hereby relieved of his duties under the name of our lord, he has been exiled from the community of Angels and given the domain of fallen by the order of our lord. He may not hold any power over the godly actions taken by the Angels unless and until asked to do so. May lord give you his blessings." The announcer yelled out for everyone to hear. Laurent stood at the side clad in white, looking straight ahead, his yellow-green eyes cold as ice and hands wound behind his back like a soldier. His head held up, proud.
