They didn’t look alike or anything. “And who do we have here?” She asks, her greying eyes fixed on me as she hugged August. “Hi.” I say quietly, giving a small wave and smile. “I’m Angel.” I step forward, holding my hand out to her. “Oh, enough of that.” She waves a hand, moving away from August and the counter to wrap me in my own hug. “My name is Gloria, I’m the owner of this cafe. You’re a pretty little thing, aren’t you? How do you know my August?” I feel my face heating in a blush as she backs up, running her wrinkly fingers through the ends of my hair.

‘MC Royale. I think this is the place.’ Mariko looked up at the tall building in front of her and read the signage. She went inside and asked the receptionist on what floor the CEO had located. She immediately went up to the 20th floor and headed toward the room of the CEO. The executive assistant greeted her as soon as she arrived at the 20th floor. “I came to see Miss Orianna McCartney. I’m Agent Angel.” She introduced herself using her codename and told the secretary about her intention to come in.

I carried it back upstairs myself. I was smiling when I pushed the door open, coffee in hand. Angel sat in the living room, legs propped on the center table, arms crossed over his chest. His face wasn’t sleepy anymore. It was sharp and hard. The smile slipped from my mouth. “Went to get your coffee,” I said in a goofy tone, trying to soften the air. But his expression didn’t shift. His eyes pinned me like knives. “What kiss,” Angel said, his voice cutting and calm, “were you and Tomas talking about?”

Above the table, everyone maintained perfect manners, but under it was a different story. Starting at the pant leg, I worked my way up to Eric's thigh, and his Adam's apple bobbed. Just as I was about to unbuckle his belt with my nimble toes, he snapped. "I need to use the restroom." I could tell that he was clearly aroused. "Babe, I need to go, too," I told Karl. Just as I arrived at the door of the restroom, he emerged. Without a word, he pinned me against the sink and tightened his hand around my throat.

And suddenly…I knew exactly how I wanted to spend it. Me: I'm off today. Three dots appeared almost immediately. Angel: Come see me. I smiled. Me: Now? Is the Den even open this early? Angel: It opens when I say it does. A laugh escaped me. Arrogant bastard. Me: I'll be there soon. Angel: I'll be waiting, kitten. My stomach fluttered. The Angel's Den felt completely different during the day. Mostly because it was empty. No music. No masked strangers. No bartenders. Just the quiet elegance of black marble, burgundy furniture and gold. My heels echoed through the enormous room.

Chelsea and Angel were tired when they got home. They had been strolling around and trying out different foods all day, which Chelsea enjoyed. Finally, for even just one day, she was able to forget about Red and didn't think about him. As they entered Angel's house, the three house helpers welcomed them calmly. "Welcome back, milady," they greeted. They took the two's shopping bags and brought them to their respective rooms. "My babies! So… how's your day? Did you enjoy yourselves?" Mrs. Martinez happily greeted them.

Angel shook her head. "He come with you to shop?" Alice asked. "I always drag him with me" Angel smiled. "That's cute" Alice said. "I'm hungry" Angel touched her tummy. "Wanna branch in a restaurant? hikzz…" Angela looked drunk and sobbed in her hotel room. "Why are you so mean? Why are you doing all this to me? Why ? Why?" Her sobs were so painful. --- Ansel had been knocking on Angela's door for an hour, but there was no answer, and no one opened the door. Finally, he asked the hotel to give him a spare key. "Angels!"
