Pleasure & Confusion

Pleasure & Confusion

My tears halt and amazement fills its place, “our baby is talking to us? How? Through our minds?” “Exactly that,” Deacon grins, “it’s called mind-linking. We- as wolves, can talk through a form of telepathy. I guess this little guy has it down to a tee already.” 'No like waiting! I want bacon! NNNNOOOOWWWW! ' The voice screams- now I know- in my head and I wince. “Loud isn’t he!” I groan, rubbing my temple. Deacon laughs at my expression and hands me a rectangle of my sandwich, “eat before he starts going off on one.”

Love is Hell; Mate is Heaven

Love is Hell; Mate is Heaven

"You think it’s normal for wolves to talk?" "Isn’t it?" I asked. His frown told me I had said something strange. "Before mine left me, she told me I was too weak to shift. She spoke to me." "You heard her speak?" His voice sharpened. "Yes," I said quietly. He studied me so intently I shifted in my seat. "Is that wrong?" After a beat, he shook his head. "Not wrong. But rare. Most wolves don’t talk. I know of only one who can."

Drowning in Her Darkness

Drowning in Her Darkness

Then it came again, longer this time, it was soft and sweet, and I found myself smiling, though I was not sure why. “Sapphire, what is that sound?” “It’s a bird.” Her tone was tired, and I knew she needed to sleep. “It’s singing. Birds communicate by chirping and singing.” “It’s so beautiful.” I laid there, just enjoying the melody. Leaves moved nearby and my eyes snapped open again, my head rolling to the side and my gaze landing on a small, furry animal. It was round, with tall ears and a nose that was moving up and down quickly. As I watched, it froze, starring back at me, before turning and racing away at an amazing speed. It was cute but clearly not a threat since it was now gone.

Animal Instinct

Animal Instinct

"How can someone end the life of another human being so easily?" He scoffed, "Who said it was easy?" "He made it look easy ... is it not easy for you? How many people have you killed?" "Killing is an animal instinct ... a self-defense, to protect someone you love, or you were trained to do it because it's necessary ... like a dog ... you can train a dog to kill and make it think it's doing it to protect you." "Were you trained to be a mercenary?" He didn't answer. She turned to look at him in the eyes, "I have a proposition to make."

I definitely recommend this book. All the characters are really intruiging, even the antagonist. I even sympathize for him, why he became who he is now. I actually don't know who to ship: Ari&Diego, or Ari&Armand 🤭 Armand maybe a coo2x, but I want to give him the benifit of the doubt.

Dragon-kissed

Dragon-kissed

Griffin didn’t peep or chirp so it was hard to tell if he was indeed having a dialogue with the elder. “Slayers communicate with their animal brothers using images, not words,” Sasha softly explained to Aki and Temujin. “They visualize in their mind a picture that they want the animal to see and then pass it on. In exchange, the animal sends its own images.” “For real?” Temujin mumbled in awe.

Dear Don

Dear Don

Replying, Dawn explained how that was a greeting that meant ‘welcome’ in Japanese. Curious, Aqua wanted to know what Japanese was and why there were different kinds of humans. “Don’t you have different kinds of merfolks?” he asked, curious. “Not all merfolks were born in the same waters, right?” Aqua thought about it. Dawn wasn’t wrong. However, merfolks were considered the same type of species. It was only natural that they spoke the same ‘language’, right? “Fishes can speak the same language regardless of species. Whales and dolphins communicate similarly. Merfolks can talk to any merfolks even if they were born in different waters. Why can’t humans do that?”

Loathed by the Alpha

Loathed by the Alpha

Annie, the smallest of the pups, yelled excitedly, tail a blur. Tobias made a soft hum in the back of his throat, his body almost sprawled lazily. "It is when a Pack Alpha can talk to all his wolves at the same time, without the outsiders hearing. Works only in between the pack members." "Then there is mate link," He started as two dozen pairs of eyes gawked at him with acute interest, "is where a bonded wolves can communicate with each other without anyone else hearing. Some of them have bonds so strong that they can do it over long distances. In these links, there are two types; one communicate in words when in each other's direct presence, and the further away they are, the less accurate

Really liked this book. It shows that our own perceived ideas about what we believe, can cause us to draw the wrong conclusion. If Rose hadn't switched places, she would have lost her true mate. Aiden's past corrupt his vision of what he could've had with Rose from the beginning.

My dreams, his reality (#1)

My dreams, his reality (#1)

I asked, interrupting Harper. "A wolf can communicate with other members of the pack it belongs to, even if they aren't in the vicinity. I can send messages to Aiden while I'm sitting here with you. It's used to communicate between pack members when we are in our wolf forms, as we can't talk in that form. It's as if someone is speaking in your head or talking through a mobile in our heads."

Taming the Dangerous Alpha

Taming the Dangerous Alpha

Fitch said, shifting uneasily, as if the word itself embarrassed him, “when Alex told me through the mind-link that he’d found you.” “What’s a mind-link?” I interrupted. “It’s how wolves communicate over long distances. Even now, sitting here with you, I could send Alex a message. It’s usually used in wolf form, when we can’t speak. It’s like having a conversation in your head—or making a phone call through your thoughts.”

Taming the Alpha of Alphas

Taming the Alpha of Alphas

Godiva turned to the sound of the voice, her heart thumping wildly, when she saw a white wolf, so beautiful, it was difficult to tear her eyes off it. "You can talk?" Werewolves never spoke in wolf form. It usually was through mindlink. They could only talk audibly when in human form. "Yes," the voice responded. The echo sound backing it gave Godiva shivers. Then she recalled that it was the teenage kids again. Rock had told her that they could even take the form of an animal, depending on the message they wanted delivered. "Walk with me," the white wolf said. Godiva looked to her left, then her right. She was a little afraid since everywhere was dark. Perhaps she should not have come out al
