The twins spread out their supplies—construction paper, markers, glue, and magazines to cut pictures from—while I sat between them, ready to assist.
“Mommy, do dolphins talk to each other?” Paris asked, holding up a picture she had cut out.
“They do, in a way,” I said, reaching for her tablet to pull up some quick facts. “They use clicks, whistles, and other sounds to communicate.”
“That’s so cool!” she exclaimed, scribbling the information onto her poster.
“What about tigers?” Aiden chimed in. “Do they talk too?”
“Well, tigers roar, growl, and chuff,” I explained. “It’s their way of expressing themselves.”
