A Dream House (Continuation) I sat on the beige colored tiled floor of the living room. And I looked around me, the ceilings are neatly painted white, while the walls are covered with medium toned brown wallpapers. I opened another box. From the box I pulled out lots of books, maybe fifty to seventy of them. The books come in different forms, big and small, thin and thick. He had an entire wall of bookshelves with one of those ladders that were sometimes in libraries. It was impressive. The room had a tiled chessboard floor and stretched out farther than I could see, lined with row upon row of bookshelves. It was a private library, grander than anything I'd ever imagined. They were meticulously organized – fiction arranged alphabetically, non-fiction sorted by subject, with color-coded dots marking different genres. "I prefer the ones where it switches perspectives." Lumen leaned on the desk. "I've known him since I was like, nine, and all of this is new to me." Aspen turned and opened a roll top drawer behind her on the credenza. It hid a wealth of what looked like personal items from stuffed animals to a stack of books. She looked around appraisingly once they arrived before sitting down on the couch. “Nice comic book posters.” They were pretty much the only decorations he had aside from his Funko Pop! collection of various superheroes and supervillains kept on some shelves mounted to the wall. He stuck them in simple black frames so they looked nicer and the edges didn’t fray as quickly.

I accepted Annelise's invitation and visited her at her work at the mall. She used her amazing and long lunch time to show me her favorite stores, including a bookstore whose shelves reached two floors of the building, and the characteristic smell of new and never used books filled the entire environment. I myself was strongly influenced by the unique atmosphere that a library or bookstore can offer, and I ended up buying half my salary of books that would require a lot of strength from my arms to carry them. Shortly afterwards Kazame released me, and I hurried off to Prince Kanzuka's room. Prince Kanzuka's room, I was shocked by a huge collection of books. Who would have thought Prince Kanzuka is a man who likes to collect books. He likes a lot of books to make a special room of his own book. I also greeted him, treating wounds and serving him food. Before I left, he and I had a chance to talk. "Prince Kanzuka, what books do you collect?" I asked him. "Yes there is a lot that I collect, about drugs, poisons, martial arts and weapons."

I can still feel the maids eyeing me, but I didn't mind them anymore to not make them uncomfortable with me. And while looking around the shelf, I noticed something wrong so I went to check the other shelves as well with a creased forehead. I glanced at the maids who were back to doing their jobs and noticed that one of them is arranging the books in the same way. "Excuse me?" They stopped from moving just to face me. I frowned at them. "Why is it that all the books are arranged according to what year it's published instead of by titles?" I looked back at the book beside me. "This one, the Lycans History from the Vampires invasion, is two books away from book two of this title. Why is that?"
