Anima said. “What exactly do you mean by ‘force us into that state’ again?” Valerie asked. Anima closed her eyes, and after a moment, her entire body began to glow. Her white aura seeped out of her body like glowing smoke, and as she opened her eyes again, her bright blue irises began to glow brightly, releasing light blue sparks. Her maid uniform slowly transformed into dark silver armor with large metal shoulder pads, a large chest piece that stopped a short distance below the middle of her torso, and metallic boots and gauntlets.

The witches closed in, their laughter echoing like a chorus of nightmares. Something inside Aqua snapped. A surge of dark energy, unfamiliar and terrifying, welled up within her. She felt her pendant grow hot against her skin, the clear crystal turning black as smoke. The air around her crackled with raw power as she turned back towards the attackers, her fear morphing into a blinding rage.

When she finally finds the courage to look at me, I bend my head a little downwards and give her a petrifying smile. She immediately looks away. “Yeah, I’m done.” I stand up and follow Rhea to their table. “And to answer your question, we’re humans. I don’t think it’s possible for us to not form cliques especially when thrown into a fucked up place like this.” “At least it’s better than jail. All they have is a bed, a shitty toilet, and bars.
