"I saw you walking past the window." She looked at the bar that I had just come from. Of course it didn't look good that I was in a bar at 4 in the afternoon. She blushed in embarrassment. “Penny, why didn’t you tell us you were coming?” The man’s eyes swept over Penny, showing a hint of admiration. Penny took the hundred-dollar note and asked the man, “Have you ever touched this money?” The man arrogantly replied while folding his hands on his chest, “Of course not! This isn’t my money!”

How could they have not? I heard a soft knock on my door and then Penny stepped in with a few files in her hand. She came to take a seat opposite me. Penny was a skinny and tall 22 year old. She had black hair that was always up in a neat bun. Her fingernails were long and coloured bright pink. She was unusually pretty: she had the look and walk of a model. I still wondered why she’d chosen to become a secretary instead. Any model agency would sign her up at first glance. “This is your workload that I had to do yesterday.” She told me, putting the files on my desk. “I just need your signatures on them.”

Then they started chatting and made a new friend. Penny was the only child of her family, her parents owned a clothing shop in their hometown and her home was very homogenous and happy. She really had grown up too easily, hadn't ever had the opportunity to truly live a life. After graduating from college, she become a securities market professional who had special trainings and generally work as agencies, information providers, accounting managers and other professional services as stock dealer's representatives. NOAH’S POV “Penny, let’s go already. I’m famished,” I groaned for what had to be the fifth time today. Maybe the sixth. Honestly, I’d lost count—and also my patience. We've been shopping nonstop for hours, and Penny doesn't look like she's going to stop soon. Heads up: Penny is a shopaholic on steroids. I should’ve known better the moment she said we had “girly things” to do. That phrase should come with a health warning, especially when you’ve had nothing to eat since morning.

Penny didn't refuse the money. Although she didn't know how much was in the card, someone who had been hungry and poor knew the importance of money. To hell with pride and stubbornness. Penny didn't forget to ask the most important thing. As she put the bank card into her pocket, she casually said, "What is the PIN?" Julia's face showed a slightly complicated emotion upon hearing this. It was hard to tell if it was due to her embarrassment for forgetting to inform her of the PIN or shock at how straightforwardly Penny had accepted it.

In a serious tone, Magdalena chirped in, "I can vouch that she's a Schubert." Upon hearing that, everyone understood what she meant—a female Schubert had a lower status in the family than their house pet. Everyone from Andorry knew this. Abraham was a little annoyed. "Miss, are you trying to cause trouble?" "Of course not!" Penny straightened her back. Sadly, she appeared so insecure that she didn't seem like she could afford the whopping price of 21 million. I think we should go clubbing later tonight,” Penny declared, her voice light and breezy. I stared at her, fork hovering mid-air above my third plate of kleftiko, utterly dumbfounded. “Clubbing?” I repeated, incredulous. “Are you serious?” My cousin’s tiny frame belied the force of her personality. Penny called sweetly, “more tissue.” I handed her another one. I always had them ready. “It’s not her fault she looks like this,” Penny said, smiling at the maids. She turned to me with that fake sugar-glazed expression. “Pimples. Braces. Glasses.” She sighed like she was listing a tragedy. “All the signs of an ugly girl,” she finished. She blew her nose loudly. The sound was thick and wet, and the tissue drooped from the weight of it. For someone who looked like a magazine cover, she always had stuff leaking out of her.

She had a major crush on them growing up, and if she was being honest, she still did. “One last question,” Harry said, leaning back in his seat. Penny really needed this job so she could gather enough money for college, so she sat up straighter, listening attentively. The question shocked her anyway. “Are you a virgin?” Her jaw dropped and she looked at all three brothers in disbelief, blinking rapidly. They remained quiet, expecting her to reply. “Oh, uhm.. Yeah,” She replied, flushing red. Most girls her age had already had sex. Penny hadn’t because she had been too busy trying to survive her childhood home.
