James' hand slid from the back of her head down to hold her injured left wrist firmly in place, steadying it before it could shift out of place.
15 minutes later, Beverly's wound was all stitched up and bandaged.
"You must keep the wound dry for now. Come back in a week to have the stitches removed and the dressing changed," Gina instructed James. "Instead of antibiotics, the doctor has prescribed herbal anti-inflammatory medication that's safer for the b—"
Beverly suddenly looked up, cutting her off. "Thank you. The doctor already explained everything, so I know how to take the medication. We'll be going now."
With that, she quickly pulled James out of the treatment room.
