The black umbrella slipped from Gabriel's hand and hit the floor with a thud.
The light reflected off the handle, illuminating my name that was engraved on it. However, no one was there to take it.
Lena asked, voice trembling, "Where's Natalie?"
Hunter swallowed hard. He suddenly realized that he couldn't answer her.
Tiffany began crying softly. "It's all my fault. If I hadn't lost the earrings, Natalie wouldn't have—"
Suddenly, Hunter looked up and exclaimed, "The earrings!"
Tiffany froze.
Looking straight at her, Hunter said each word slowly and clearly, "Find Natalie's mother's earrings."
