Luciano's POV "Here it is," Obinna said and turned the laptop to me. It was the blueprint of the house he kept Amara in. The building looked familiar and I struggled to remember where I had seen it. As I kept looking at it, I was able to connect the dots and I remembered that it was the house that we both had gone to inspect some years back. He told me that he didn't like the house which discouraged me from buying as well. "I should have bought this house when I had the chance," I whispered in regret.

Ama's new home, a place she would be staying with Styx for as long as she lived. "Welcome back, King Styx and Queen Ama," the maids greeted, with a deep bow. "Queen?" Ama asked, confused. Since when did she become the queen or could it be that they were mistaken. Styx chose not to reply her and smiled instead. He tightened his grip on her. They walked through series of passages and they finally reached what looked like a church. Ama's brows furrowed in confusion, looking at the unfamiliar faces in the room. Her eyes fell on the man that had come with Styx to her home. She had seen him leave earlier and she had thought he had somewhere to go, so why was he here instead?

She shrugged and continued walking with her hands on her back. I followed suit because I didn't want to be alone on a grape farm, the ground was mushy, and I didn't like the smell of the rain in here. We reached the end of the grape farm and Sasha lead me to an old house that was just wood, the walls and the floors were made of woods, the roof was made of haystack though, covered in green fishnet, and there's a few steps before you could enter the house. "He's here." She pointed at the direction of the house, "waiting for you." she let go of my hand and turned her heel around.

“And… I got it. I just texted you the address. Anything else, mate?” I sigh in relief. “No. That’s it. Thanks.” Before he can say another word, I disconnect the call. It takes me a few minutes to get to Amara’s home. The house is a freaking mansion. No joke. It looks like something from those Jane Austen movies that Nevaeh used to make us watch. I drive up the long driveway and gaze around the grounds in hopes that I might spot Amara, with very little luck. The house is pretty pretentious looking. For crying out loud, the center of the long driveway has a fountain with baby cherubs pouring water in flagons. The house is even more intimidating up close, but I’m not deterred. I need to see Ama

The safe house was a fortress disguised as a modest bungalow on the outskirts of Lagos, surrounded by high walls topped with barbed wire and guarded by men who moved like shadows. Amara barely registered the details as Ezekiel hustled her inside, Benson half-carried by the driver. Her phone was still clutched in her hand, the image of her father—bound, terrified, alive—seared into her mind.

There were lots of vehicles parked in its enormous compound. “This is Bill Phantom’s house. He transformed it into their gang headquarters and they all live here under one roof.” He alighted from the car and so did Amelia, a sense of dread clutching at her heart. She had never met an MC gang member in her life but knew they were criminals usually. She glanced at Matteo, who held out his hand to her. Amelia placed her hand in his and he threaded his fingers through hers and led her up onto the porch. “Relax and look happy, mia cara.” His words had a calming effect on her, and she smiled up at him. We turned down a winding path, and Hapi stopped suddenly, pointing ahead. “We’re here!” she beamed, gesturing to a bright red house with yellow trim, built from sturdy wood. It reminded me of my aunt Crisma’s place—simple, warm, and full of life. Then she yelled—loud as ever—making me jump. “Bayug! You bastard—are you fooling around again?!” Her shout made the neighbors laugh, and I noticed a few faces peeking out from their homes. Hapi opened the small gate and ran toward her dog, leaving me to follow, my mouth slightly agape. The “Bayug” she’d been yelling at was a tiny white dog, curled up on top of a much larger one. Hapi stood over them, looking exasperated.

Avery asked as they carried the boy to Khama’s house in a hurry. “Not exactly. Even if I knew, I wouldn’t remember. He must probably have been much younger the last time I came here.
