That was the ringtone for my alarm. I hurriedly grabbed my phone with shaky hands as I glanced at the date and I audibly gasped in shock. I refused to believe that this was real. There was no way that I woke up one month before the city of Sloradath was reduced to ruins. But I knew everything that happened was too real to be a dream.

"Lyra, your sister brought a man back!" I groggily opened my eyes as Jade Black grabbed my wrist and dragged me outside. Bitter wind and snow hit my face, making it impossible to keep my eyes open. Ever since the frozen apocalypse a hundred years ago, Earth had entered an ice age, and wind and snow had become the norm.
