"Your what?" "My siren," I whispered miserably. "Siren?" she echoed, voice high with disbelief. "Wait—hold on. A chill ran down my spine as they stepped closer, their face coming into view. It was a woman, tall and lean, with eyes that gleamed like polished metal. Her hair was jet black, cascading down her back like liquid night, and her smile... it sent a jolt of fear through me. "I’m Lilith," she said, her smile widening as she took in the sight of Quinton and me. "And I’ve come to collect what’s mine." My heart lurched. "What are you talking about?" Her gaze locked onto me, her eyes narrowing. "You, Fiona. You’re mine. And I’m here to bring you home."

“I can’t believe Lilah finally managed to track you down!” Lissa shook her head, the ice clinking in her glass of iced tea as she raised the glass to take a sip. Bellamy sighed as he speared his fork into a sausage. “It’s my own fault, I’ve avoided using magic for months so she wouldn’t be able to sense me… I just wanted Thea to have a good night and not be worried about… well, you know.” Lissa’s jackhammered in her seat, “It’s sooooo cool that she’s a siren! What’s her song like? Do you think she’d show me her wings? I wish I could’ve seen Lilah’s bitch face when you saw you with Thea.”

"This is the Litany of Light. It contains an ancient ritual that can channel the power of faith to cleanse the darkness from our very nature." The Sire took the scroll, her eyes blazing with greed. "Excellent, Lilith!" she nodded in satisfaction. "Once you have proven this ritual works, our entire clan will be free of this damned curse!" She removed a crystal vial from a ring on her finger. It was filled with blood that shimmered like a ruby. "A vial of century-old virgin's blood. A reward for your loyalty." Lilith accepted it reverently, the look of triumph on her face now impossible to hide.

Pure, blinding, unstoppable power. Lilith stepped out of my arms, her body radiating so much heat that the obsidian beneath her feet began to crack. Her eyes were twin red supernovas, blazing with a fury that made even the Apex Queen take a step back. The variant raised her shadow-scythe, ready to strike, but Lilith was faster. She caught the blade mid-air with her bare hand, her fingers wrapping around the crimson metal like it was nothing more than a child's toy. And then she squeezed. The scythe shattered into dust, the pieces scattering like ash in the wind.

The sleeves, long and flowing, added a touch of drama, while the slit up the side revealed a glimpse of powerful, shapely legs. As Lilith prostrated before Ragnar, her red lipstick–doused lips, "My lord Ragnar," Lilith's voice, a sultry and melodic resonance. "I am Lilith Carenia of the Obsidian Moon Pack, honored to stand before you as a potential carrier of your child to secure the future of your great kingdom." A satisfied smirk spread on Ragnar’s lips

He scanned me, like goods on display at an auction center, trying to figure out what I'm worth. “Who are you?” He asked in a deep rasping voice. At first, I was scared, but Lexi fueled me with energy and I felt my body and mind strengthened. “I am Lilith, daughter to the former Beta of Green Forest Pack, Luna Queen of the Black Hound Pack, bearer of the gift of the priestess.” I felt a wave of power flow through me as I said those words. Adding the extra details was unnecessary, but I must admit… it felt good.

She looked around frantically before I saw a bright shining red light coming from Seline’s chest. It took me a few moments to realize that there was a hand sticking through her chest. Seline evaporated into nothing, and Lilith was standing right behind her with her deep red lipstick on, wearing a very tight figure hugging black dress and very high stiletto heels. Lilith wiped her hands together, trying to get all remanence of Seline off of her and she looked up at me. “I am getting really sick of that nosy bitch.” Lilith said.

Brimstone and roses scented the air behind her. Hailey froze. Her sword stuttered. Ryan growled. Jaden stood in front of Turtela. I just stared. Because I knew her. I had no idea how. But I did. She smiled. "Peace, little wolves. I come with no war." Hailey's voice was icy. "Who are you?" The woman leaned over. "Lilith. Mother of Hell. I seek my daughter." A stunned moment of silence. "Your daughter?" Hailey repeated.
