Apollo blinked a few times before answering. “Artemis is the goddess of the hunt, wild animals, the moon… even childbirth and chastity.” “I knew it!” Summer cheered, grinning at Artemis. “I should call you a goddess! You’re so pretty, just like her!” “Does that mean you’ll call me Uncle God?” Apollo piped up. Summer wrinkled her nose. “But you’re not a god.” “Yeah, but Apollo is a god—and he’s handsome.” “But you’re not as cool as him.”

Eventually I managed to get everyone settled back into bed, or at least I tried. “Luna?” I looked down. Jordan’s little fingers tugged at my sleeve “Can you stay until we fall asleep?” Another immediately joined in. “Please?” Then another. “Tell us a bed time story!” I stared at their hopeful faces. A sigh escaped me. I never really stood a chance. An hour later, the dormitory had finally gone quiet. Soft breathing filled the room. Tiny bodies curled beneath blankets. Anna slept beside me with one hand still clutching my sleeve.

Grabbing her arm he marched her to the end of the block. His cold glare too almost iced over Claudia and part of her felt like she went too far. " First it's Alpha to you. That was my responsibility as Luna. Friday was the Full Moon Feast. It was the most important gathering of the pack. Every member attended to honor the Moon Goddess. Outsiders were strictly forbidden. Yet Simon, as Alpha, openly brought the human girl with him. When Lily appeared wearing a dress that belonged to me, the lively hall fell dead silent. Dozens of eyes locked onto her, low warning growls rippling through the room. Lily turned pale and shrank into Simon's arms. "Simon, help me!"

Now he had become a spectacle. Apollo cleared his throat and then lay down on his back to them. He was increasingly squeezed by doubts. His loyalty was at stake. That night he could not sleep. His wolf howled through his thoughts. Thinking that Wilson was asleep, Apollo got up to do a night exercise. He jumped when he saw Wilson sitting down reading the strategy map. In his hand was a bar of chocolate. "Are you going?" asked Wilson casually. Apollo nodded nervously. "I will keep you company." “No need,” Apollo interrupted hastily.

**** Meanwhile… Apollo was seated in his room, his legs crossed as he thought about his conversation with Selene. From the way she spoke, he was sure she wouldn't put love before her duty as the moon goddess. He wanted to trust her, so he wasn't going to follow up with Ares' plan anymore. He stood up and appeared in Ares' throne room. “What brings you here, Apollo?” Ares asked with a smile. Apollo heaved a deep breath and approached him. “I want out of this plan, Ares. I no longer want to be involved in your plan.”

Some were warming up, some were happily chatting with other, and some were just watching everyone else. We joined some of our other friends when I saw James, Tyson, Max, and Tyler approaching us On the other side of the field, the Opal pack was warming up. The Blue Moon pack was on the opposite side of Opal doing the same thing. Neither future Alphas were anywhere in sight. I chatted with my friends when we suddenly heard a commotion. Everyone stopped what they were doing, and that’s when I saw them. Two gorgeous God-like guys, running side by side, racing towards us from the lake, their shirts drenched in sweat.
