The light pulses again, brighter, and something begins stepping forward inside it
a shape forming from silver and shadow.
Clara curses. “Okay, she’s not creeping in gently.”
A low rumble answers her
the sentinel, stepping in front of us, muscles tense, eyes glowing violet.
The storm-creature appears at Clara’s back, snarling.
My power spikes, moonfire heating the air around us until the ground cracks beneath my feet.
“She’s coming for the anchor first,” Clara mutters. “She wants him weak, she wants him out of the way ”
