Chapter 2 little-angel POV As the eve of the Shadowboom Unveiling approached, my excitement mingled with a sense of worry. I could hardly contain my anticipation, but a nagging fear crept in, making me wonder if I could endure the wait any longer. The burning desire to discover my destined mate consumed me. "Mom, did you hear that?" I asked, jolting awake as the whinnies of the horses pulling Full-moon's cart echoed through the house.

Jessica walks closer to her with me staying right by her side. Bambi opens her eyes, revealing her sea green orbs. Her eyes are bloodshot, as if she's been through hell. "Jessica..I'm sorry.” She dryly coughs into her elbow. Jessica's hand squeezes mine as she looks up at me, "is she okay? She doesn't look so hot." She whispers. "Hey, I'm always hot." Bambi jokes, immediately regretting it as a ping of stinging pain courses through her skull. "Yes, the sexiest woman alive," I beg to differ, "how're you feeling?” She steps a little closer to her friend's chained body.

"Bambi, apologize to Niamh." The authority in her father's voice left no room for defiance. Bambi's face flushed red with anger. "Aunt Niamh almost stepped on my craft project!" Niamh retorted, "Did I actually step on it? No! You're just targeting me!" Elara pulled Bambi to her side, and the girl clung to her mother's leg like a little bird seeking shelter. Her stubborn face was flushed as she glared at Niamh. She was puffed up like an indignant frog.

“I’m Emma Carter, Elijah sent me” “I know who you are. Bambi” i stepped into the flicker of light. “My Big Brother,” I said, As I began to circle her like a vulture. “Must not pay you enough, it’s a crying shame to Send something so small in a place like this”

Owen and I looked right at one another with realization that it was raining just as the down pour started. It was as if someone had turned on the shower faucet, the rain starting quicker than either of us could have expected. We ran for the nearest trees, but their bare branches offered no protection from the sudden deluge. I shivered, the two of us already completely soaked by the sudden microburst. Owen quickly shrugged out of his jacket and wrapped it around my shoulders, the satin inside still warm from his body.

He cooed stroking a finger across my nose, tracing in on my face, feeling the redness of my cheeks, "I am truly a lucky one." "What's this?" I pointed at a deep red rash on his neck and in that moment he turned his head sneezing, "Are you alright your-I mean Eros ?" I had to ask as he always seemed to sneeze around me and I had noticed the rashes before. "I am Bambi. Nothing to worry about." He ran his finger on my nose again, "So you are jealous about me uhm?" I just smiled not minding to admit that I was, as I didn't know how he would feel about someone like me being jealous over him.

Needing more friction I attempt to move my hips to match the fingers. “Come Bambina (Baby)” is all I hear and do without any hesitation. As my body continues to shake and my core throb I try to ride out my euphoric ending while trying to regain my breathing as a pair of strong arms move to hold me just as my body moves to lean against my captors, their god-like bodies with souls of the devil.
