In the midst of the dark and desolate night, the world seemed to dissolve into the obscurity cast by the heavy clouds, which relentlessly poured raindrops upon the earth below. Each droplet was a testament to the sorrow that filled the hearts of Keisha and Colten, mingling with the tears that streamed down their faces in an unending cascade of grief.

But the moment I step out, it begins pouring. The rain lends a richness to each colour, and the browns deepen in a way that calms my heart and provides solidity to my spirit. The clouds above groaned as if the heavens themselves responded. Then the first drop fell. Cold and sharp, it kissed my cheek like a tear. Rain followed in a sudden rush, heavy and wild, drenching the world in silver. The blood-red glow of the moon bled into gray as water pelted the earth, the trees, my shaking body. The beast stood frozen, black fur slick and gleaming, droplets sliding down his massive frame like diamonds. “Please,” I whispered into the rain, every word a prayer. “Come back to me.”
