But her mind was turned to the balance of things, and like dreams always out of reach, none of the angels could have her. The Marian was black as night, the Maiden gold as day, and the Magdalene red like blood. Marian spun the threads, the Maiden measured them, and the Magdalene cut.
The archangels were her princes, executing her will. As the Dunamis, her champions, they are the bureaucracy of the universe, attending to the checks and balances of things.
