Arcane Jayce X Viktor Novels & Stories

"What's going on, Ryker? You just stormed out. What happened?” I shook my head, my eyes fixed on Arianna. "I'll tell you later, Jason. Just give me a minute." Jason nodded and stepped back, his eyes never leaving mine. I took a deep breath and sat down next to Arianna, my eyes fixed on the tiny scar on her neck. My heart clenched, and I felt a painful stab like I had never felt before. I caressed the birthmark on her neck, and I could feel Jason’s eyes piercing through me. He had so many questions, and rightly so.

I spun to find an old woman in a deep violet hood standing in the doorway. “Who are you?” “I am Vesska, the royal oracle. Listen to me; you are the only one who can stop him!” “I don’t know how!” Panic and fear tangled inside me until my eyes stung. “I have no power to make the King stop killing his people.” She shook her head. “You are the only reason he hasn’t already torn the entire palace apart. Tonight, his primal wave reaches its peak. Every Lycan King experiences it once a month, a phase where they lose all control and become a monster that doesn’t even recognize its blood.”

Zac. He stood right on the edge of the clearing. Just out of the reach of the fire. But he wasn’t just standing there. He was… I don’t know, vibrating? His eyes weren't normal brown eyes, they were filled with rags and I could see them glowing yellow. They were looking straight at me, then over to Zara, who dangled above the flames. I saw his face. I saw the exact moment something in him just… broke. It wasn’t anger. It was something older, darker. Something primal.

His eyes were a pale, burnished gold, the color that only came with ancient bloodlines. The way he looked at me… It wasn’t hatred. Not exactly. It was worse. It was certainty. “You are the human,” he said, voice calm and heavy as carved stone. “The one carrying the King’s mixed child.” “I am Ariadne Voss,” I replied evenly. “And yes.” “Then you carry the end of my people.” He said it like a fact. Like a line from scripture. “A Lycan people diluted is no people at all. Better we end as we are than survive as something that only wears our name. I have said this for two hundred years. I won’t pretend politeness toward the womb that destroys us.”

"You have been saying that a lot. I have had enough already. You let her touch and mark you, do you know the amount of pain that stupid act caused me? You have no idea what I lost, Jace. I don't care about this anymore. I think it's time I accept your rejection. That way, everyone will be free to move on with their lives" "Ana, no" Jace screams and in seconds, he is kneeling in front of me. My mate possessively wraps his hands around my waist and buries his face in my tummy. "Please, don't. I have suffered enough already. My life has been a mess and I swear, I will die if you say those horrible words. Please don't" he begs between sobs and I feel my own eyes getting wet. My heart painfully s

BLAZE* Vega and Jace looked at each other with hope in their eyes, and they both looked back at me. "Blaze, I hope that you are right because I want to see both you and Lyra happy. Relationships have always put me off after seeing what has happened to you and Tanner; and what my mom did to my dad. Then I met Vega. She's the best thing that could have ever happened to me. Lyra is an amazing girl, and she is like a sister I never had. She has been hurt as well," Jace said.

My dad, and Aerin, stopped next to me and he cleared his throat, after he stopped chuckling, "The rules were previously agreed upon by both parties. We, Aerin and I, are also in agreement with the rules and are ready and willing to carry them out without prejudice. Cyrus and Jayce, you may take your positions and begin on Aerin's signal." Jayce gave a short growl before getting down low. Cyrus merely stood, watching him closely. Aerin gave a sharp whistle and Jayce charged at full speed. He never made contact as Cyrus stepped out of the way before shoving him off balance as he passed. My dad hummed in approval. Jayce rolled away and started to reposition himself. Cyrus whipped around quickly

She grabbed his arm and pulled, but he didn’t budge. “Kyrell, you’ll kill him!” She screamed, her voice raw. It was what got to him. Kyrell grunted, chest heaving like a wild animal, and forced himself to step back. Jace lay slumped against the ground, his face a bloody ruin. And yet, he smiled. A sadistic, fleeting little smile before his eyes rolled back and darkness claimed him. ***

The first match began: Blaze versus Viktor. Blaze's fingers danced across his controller, executing flawless combos. Viktor snarled, fangs bared, but Blaze remained focused. Jake said coldly, bringing my attention back to our fight. Victor narrowed his eyes and laughed. He raised his hands and sent another blast toward us. My shield held it back, but it was a hard one. I was panting, trying to keep the blast away. As soon as the blast was over, my shield fell down. I couldn’t hold it up. Victor smirked and riled up his magic again. I didn’t have the time to raise a shield, but Jake and Aria reacted. They knocked Victor’s spell out of the way.
