“Archer-” He bolted at her. She screamed and ran away up the path. The clearing soon came into view. She tripped, skidding backward. “Air power. Check!” Up on a ridge, Archer watched the chaos unfold. “They’ve got this,” he muttered to himself, not wanting to miss the fun. He raised his hand, and a glowing bow of pure energy appeared in his grasp, a shimmering arrow already notched. “Time to join the party.” He released the arrow, and it shot through the air, piercing an ogre’s chest with an explosion of light. The beast roared in pain and crumpled to the ground. “Bullseye!”

My Baby Daddy It is well into the afternoon, Archer and I have done so much work. He updated me on the latest company progress and I have to say I couldn't have done better. My name is Archer, and these are my friends Brandon and Caleb. Would you like to join us in a game of bowling?”

I chuffed at that and glanced at Beth to see her eyes phased out again. “They’re returning. Your friend, Archer too. From the eastern border,” she said, one hand encouraging me to go. I took off and ran as fast as I could without shifting. ‘Arch, can you hear me?’ I linked out into the universe on repeat hoping he could hear me. ‘Well if it isn’t sleeping beauty,’ he wisecracked. I was relieved he was in good enough shape to joke. ‘We’re almost to the center of the territory, I’ll shift in a minute…’ he added.

I held the bowstring, preparing my fingers to let go of the arrow as I gasp for air. Archery has been my preference. It gives me a calm mood and I often uses it to reduce my anger or grief within my chest. I knew exactly what he was thinking. Turning, I looked at Ayla. Her eyes were wide, and her face was the colour of beetroot. It was hilarious but adorable at the same time.

It wasn’t Xander but the other one, Archer. She had guessed right about the arrow. Archer had a silver bow in his hand. It was magnificent. There was a carving on it and at both tips a jewel. She saw his muscles flex as he raised the bow, leading her to believe it was heavy. Her eyes were stuck on the muscles between his shoulder blades as his arm pulled back and released, sending a white arrow into a ball that had been catapulted into the air. ***
