“SAMARA, HOLY shit. . .” Amaris’ voice was laced with awe, and I was left staring at the glass cabinet slowly opening, until it completely opened. The archery equipment stared back at me, glowing, as if calling me to touch it—to take it.

Archer yelled, each word punctuated by a savage strike to Jax’s face. The three other men rushed in, yanking Archer off Jax, then unleashed a barrage of stomps and kicks on him without mercy. “Stop!!” Amani cried. “Leave him alone!!” Jax rose to his feet, and the others immediately halted their assault. He stormed over, delivering a brutal kick to Archer’s face, blood spurting from his mouth. Jax continued his savage attack, kicking Archer repeatedly in the abdomen and head. Desperate, Amani ran over, leaping onto Jax’s back and striking him with all her strength.

Maybe they are, maybe not. I shut my eyes and listened to the whispering of the winds. “Can you find where they have kept Diana?” Alpha Urza asked. “The basement,” Archer and I said at the same time.
