I mumbled to myself. That is accurate. Why can't they have only one or two truly good textbooks instead of publishing three, four, or even more interesting ones? I chose one of them and noticed that it was about a conflict between good and bad fairies, so I promptly returned it. No, I'm not reading five hundred pages of fictional tension and three fairy blatant hunks squabbling for a freaking so usual Disney princess. Give me a werewolf or vampire story with some alpha males on it any day.

But after the first season, the cliffhanger and suspense had kept me going until I had finished all eight of them. Some of it felt like it had come out of a movie or book but other bits were a surprise to me. For example, it was a lie that vampires couldn't be near garlic and that this was a lie told by them to prove they were not vampires. This apparently came about due to the odd vampire who, in their human lives, was allergic to garlic and not because of their vampire nature.
