The question caught her off guard. “The First Age is a myth.” A few of the older prisoners nodded. Every wolf knew the stories. Ancient kings. Ancient queens. Godlike wolves who vanished long ago. Children’s tales. Nothing more. Malrik laughed. The sound sent chills through the chamber. “That’s what they wanted you to believe.”

That was acceptable. "Freya?" It was Gertrude. She was saying something. "What?" I asked. "Are you sure it is the Tombs Of Amyrsthystiase you saw?" I took another burning sip. If I lied, would it make any difference? "No. I lied," I lied. "That's impossible," Both Gertrude and the healer mused at the same time. That I lied? "It is impossible for anyone to go in there. The Tombs Of Amyrsthystiase are a myth for most. It only exists for death." The healer seemed more like she was speaking to herself than anyone else in the small room.

It wouldn't hurt to briefly look around. All I had to guide me were the rumors and myths about the Fae and their realm. The problem with myths, is that you never know what might be real. Myth says the Fae can't lie, but no one has ever been able to prove that. Out of all the legends I knew, there was one fact. Monsters came from this realm, some harboring magic while others had claws, fangs, or poison. All were deadly, and all caused death when they managed to find a portal and cross over. Remembering all of the myths I knew, I suddenly felt very exposed. My eyes darted around the clearing, looking as far into the forest as I could.

But now, I was glad I did, because one way or the other, there was always an atom of truth in myths. “You are talking about…myths?” A scoff left my lips, as I gazed down to stare at my open palms. “They're not myths.” “Come on Arias. Gryms are midnight stories told to young wolvens to scare the crap out of them.” The vein on the side of my neck bulged, and my teeth gritted against each other. It took everything I had to not fling something dangerous at his head. Although, I was sure he'd sidestep it, it was worth a try.

Ethan settles into his plush leather chair behind the imposing mahogany desk. "So," Ryan flips through the page of his journal, "When discussing dating apps, the first thing that comes to mind, is undoubtedly love. And within the realm of love, there is a word which is intricately intertwined: myth. Now, I'm not saying myths are inherently negative, but they don't always work for everyone. Sometimes, what we these days know as myths, can evoke euphoria, other times they can be overwhelming." Ethan, relaxing comfortably asks, "What are you exactly proposing?"

Aurora's words dropped off as she thought. "Water comes up often in myths, Your Majesty. I read earlier about a River of Life." Birger rummaged around and pulled out two books. He opened the first and found the correct page. "Here!" Then the councilman opened the second book. "And this one speaks of a waterfall that renews the earth." "We all need water to live," Aurora reasoned. "It would make sense that people would make up stories about such a necessity." Birger frowned, "But every myth grew out of a grain of truth, or at least what someone believed to be true. What if the fountain, the waterfall and the river… what if these places of healing really exist?"

Chapter 6 "Mate?" Arcadia is genuinely confused, "what's so beautiful about a Mate?" She snorts before returning to her tart, "I thought you were GOING to tell me SOMETHING better but instead you mentioned MATE." she snorts once more before filling her mouth up. Xerxes laughs at her innocence, "What's wrong with a mate? It's a beautiful thing you know...." He is lost in thought, "Oh please!! This whole mate thing is just a scam the elders make, there's no such thing as falling in the love with someone because it's destiny." She laughs at the stupid myth,

We walked in charged silence for a time before I couldn't contain the bitter words. "So. The rumors disturb your ears as well, Sister?" I kept my gaze fixed ahead. "What lies do they spin now?" Amara blew out an exasperated breath, mouth compressing to a hard line. "Oh the usual nonsense. Blood rites and secret spells meant to bind strong wolves to your will." She made a disgusted sound. "They even claim you walk as one dead, sustained only by stealing others' life force!"
