All the textbooks were sorted by Ariana, before she showed them to the boy. “This time I brought geography, physics, math, and history books for you! Grandpa might get angry if he finds out that I lost my textbook again. But for you, I am willing to give all of this so that you can get to know this world as quickly as possible.”

“Normal things.” Cami gave her a look. “That’s vague.” Ariana let out a small breath. “Work. Reading. Overthinking.” That earned a quiet, almost amused exhale from Cami. “Yeah, that sounds like you.” A small pause. “Still arguing with books?” Ariana smiled faintly. “Always.” Cami nodded, her expression neutral but not closed. “That’s good.” It was simple. But it mattered. They walked a little further in silence.

Not just any drama, a really MESSY one. Ariana's voice cut through, "Girl, you need to put on something sexy! Let's head out! You can't tell me you're spending your entire birthday reading a book?” "What's wrong with that? It's my favorite author we're talking about." Ariana rolled her eyes and waved her hand dismissively. "Whatever, Bella. Just this once, don't do this. Are you going to hide behind books forever?” "Well, if you let me, I would," I said, picking up the book Ariana had flung earlier and carefully placing it back on my shelf, my fingers tracing the spine lovingly.

She advised but I was too stunned to do anything, I didn't even know when she left after giving me the books. I ran to Andy and Alfred who was waiting outside.
