Zane picks up from his father, "are the second in command. The Beta is the second strongest and holds the most important title behind the Alpha and Luna." Luna? Kerryington had called me Kenton's Luna, I think as Zane continues talking about the Beta of the pack. "Beta's control the pack in the absence of the Alpha,” he finishes. “Third in command is the Delta,” Zach says, picking up where his brother left off. “They are considered the third strongest, and are in charge of training the warriors of the pack to ensure they are fit and always battler ready, as well as acting general.”

CONQUERED

CONQUERED

I nod my head to signify that indeed I was exactly who his mind was telling him I was. "C.E.O Amadi group of companies?" He asks. Fool! Who else? "Yes that's why I said we shouldn't start off as enemies. We might need each other someday." "That is so true." He nods in agreement and stretch out his hands. "Sorry about my behaviour earlier; Mr Gregory Malik." I recognize the name too. It was one of the powerful names in African business. It felt good to have a worthy competition.

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

The other party said coldly, “Ten Thousand Armies has now officially started armed escort services in the Gulf of Aden. If your men dare to lay hands on the cargo ships escorted by Ten Thousand Armies, Ten Thousand Armies will not be lenient with you either!” “D*mn it!” Badr had been in business for twenty years, and he had never been threatened by anyone before. He was immediately furious, and he clenched his teeth as he cursed, “I do not care if you are Ten Thousand Armies or any other mercenary organizations. The Gulf of Aden is my territory. I’ve been here for twenty years now, and no one has ever dared to talk to me like this! If you don’t let my men go now, from now on, I will kill all

What's the matter with him! "I knew it! My speculation was right. You're working under the director's orders, so that may explain why you seem so familiar. Well, personal orders perhaps. Tell me, what is your ulterior motive?" he said with gritted teeth. "I have no plans to nurture a viper in my bosom." As Ameira became part of the team, she thought peace would welcome her, but it's the other way around. "The sea of thousand lights you see. Up. Right above; floors of forty.

“My stomach dropped. James’s expression turned serious. “Whatever is happening between you and Alpha Adrian… you should end it now, Rox. You don’t want that kind of trouble.” The bell rang, cutting off any reply. We stood and regrouped. Jack and the other alphas, except Adrian, waited at the front. One of them stepped forward: a tall man with his hair tied in a man bun and a neatly trimmed goatee. “Now that most of you have gotten the hang of the single-leg lateral hops with the bear hug,” he said, scanning our tired faces, “we’ll move on to the next exercise. He offered a small smile. “In case you forgot, I’m Liam, Alpha of the Moonlight Pack.”

Queen Alpha

Queen Alpha

She said. “All the warriors are here. We are shipping out tomorrow to arrive at nightfall. Charlie is putting a spell on the ships so we won’t be seen till we step on land. We will send one tracker from each ship to clear about a mile offshore before we let anyone else off the ships.” I told her. “That’s a great idea. I will try to be out there myself.” She said. “Please not by yourself. Not with vampires in the area.” I begged. “I know I’m stupid sometimes but not that stupid. Come on Gunner, give me some credit would ya?” She laughed. She was actually laughing. What is wrong with this girl?!

Great read! Especially for a new author. Interesting story that kept me engaged. Loved the slow introduction of characters that allowed me to get to know each one. However, if you are looking for steamy bedroom scenes, you will find this lacking.

Legacy

Legacy

Chapter 5 Hannah's POV Manila is nothing like the island. On the island, you can hear the breath of the ocean; here, all you hear is the suffocating roar of engines and the impatient honking of jeepneys. The air doesn't smell like salt and roasting corn; it smells like exhaust and old rain. It has been three months since the black helicopters took Luke away. Three months of silence. I smoothed out my blazer—the most professional thing I owned—and looked up at the glass giant standing in the heart of Makati. CROMWELL LEGACY. The name was embossed in silver, gleaming under the harsh midday sun. It looked untouchable.

Alpha Scarlett

from Cayden. “Cayden, call Alpha Connor and let him know what’s going on and to be on alert. Let him know that if need be, some of trackers and warriors may be crossing into pack lands and they’ll be coming in hot if they do, so there may not be time to send up a howl for permission.” Alpha Connor is the Alpha of the Midnight River Pack and our neighbor to the south. However, our packs don’t sit right up against each other as there is a “no man’s land”—land that isn’t owned by either pack—between the two that is several miles wide. I had already called him earlier when I got back to the pack house after meeting with my parents, so hopefully, he’s already had his own patrols on the lookout.
