The raw smell of paper and ink danced in the air, mixing pleasantly with her usual Lavender perfume. On the wall, just above her chair, hung the original Starry night by her favorite artist Vincent Van Gogh. But what seemed to catch his eyes out of all the vast treasures was a corner dedicated entirely too different collection of manga, manhwa and manhua series. The blonde marveled at what was in front of him, a snort leaving his lips the very next second.

There were books everywhere, paintings, boxes that I could only assume had something just as interesting. “Larry was a collector?” I walked up to the books that were piled on top of each other, then to the boxes, and when I opened them, I found more art, but not the kind you would find in just any house. “Is this-” Frankie walked up, “Yeah—rare pieces, things that most would kill for. Larry apparently had this stuff hidden here. The books are all types of art-related.”

Richard had arranged these paintings like movements in a symphony, each one leading to the next. "He understood art," Rafael said softly. “ This isn't just a collection. It's curated. Storytelling." I moved around the desk and ran my fingers over the books. Art history. Philosophy. Poetry. The desk drawer, locked. I tried several keys before one worked. Inside, there were dozens of sketchbooks. "He drew," I whispered as I pulled one out. The sketches were good. They were not professional, but they were full of life. Street scenes. Portraits. Buildings.

So he stopped speaking and started creating. Tuesday afternoon arrived, heavy with tension.
