I look through her window and smile at her. “That’s our suite.” She looks slack jawed at me. “It’s in the ocean Artemis! The suite is in the water!” “It’s stabilized well, and it’s far enough away to give us privacy. I thought it would be more relaxing than staying in a hotel with a bunch of loud tourists. Out there you can relax.” I try to explain.

“And you think staying far away wouldn't make me go mad? It would be far worse.” “Then what do you want from me? I can't talk to anyone. I can't stay far from you. And I can't even stay close to you! All this is confusing! I think I might just go mad.” Artemisia hissed and tossed her hands in the air. “Just stay close by, and you promised to help me.” ARTEMISIA I gazed up at him. He hadn't moved from the spot he was, and his shoulders sagged. His eyes bored into mine and I frowned as I heard him sniffle.

Caroline looked around Artemis’s penthouse, checking each and every room and the pictures on the wall. Artemis left her for his office work before his office hour. Not just that, he also called his assistant from the landline number to arrive office early. His penthouse had four huge and luxurious rooms, and the best and the biggest among them were occupied by Artemis, which was also her room now. After all, she was his claimed mate now. She blushed at the thought that she was now ‘Gosling,’ not ‘Haysbert.’

“But I need to do it anyway.” She smiled — small, proud. “Then let’s go.” We walked through the pack house together. Past the sleek black doors. Past the floating staircase. Past the living area with the massive screen and the low sofas. Out the back doors. The cabin was separate — attached by a short covered walkway, but private. Dark wood. Floor-to-ceiling glass. Surrounded by trees like it was half-wild. Amara stopped at the door. “This is as far as I go,” she said. “His office is straight down the hall on the left. Just knock. He’ll hear you.”

Also, this giant structure was floating completely soundless. The structure was almost similar to a magic castle floating above the tides. The beauty emanating out of it was mesmerizing. Artemis POV 6 months ago – Flashback – It was the weekend of the grand opening of our latest design project in Bal Harbor, Miami and I had flown in on Wednesday to make sure everything was going according to the plan and to give the décor my final touches.
