Outside, three more buildings sat on the huge land: one for the staff and some guards, another for Hades’s collection of super expensive cars, and somewhere deep underground, a secret club for his closest friends. Artemis hadn’t offered to show her that last place, which was probably a good thing. The security here was beyond anything she’d ever seen. Guards were everywhere, silent and watching. Special locks beeped, needing fingerprints and secret codes. Cameras peered from every corner. She was surrounded by men- with guns. But not too many, now that dearest husband wasn’t around.
