A Second Chance With Arthur?
Suddenly I felt heat growing through my body to my face.
And it wasn’t even hot.
Arthur smirked.
He smirked, maybe at seeing how miserable I looked, before taking a step back.
“We should rest soon, dear wife. We don’t want to tire ourselves out.”
With that, he started working and I followed after him. I couldn’t sleep on the couch now. Maybe in the room, there would be a way around it.
But there wasn’t. Everything about it screamed Arthur.
From the black wall, to the black and white bed, and then the shelf, filled with books. I walked to them, surprised he had so many books around.
