She swept the tiles back into her velvet pouch. Henry settled on the floor at Oscar’s feet, still thumbing through his book.
“How does everyone feel about pizza?” Oscar asked, as if he were suggesting a board game.
“Ooo yes please!” Lila chirped, practically bouncing in my lap.
Her joy was contagious. I laughed and kissed her temple.
“I’ll place the order,” Oscar said, pulling out his phone. “We’re doing all the classics. No objections.”
