**Chapter: A Distant Echo** Lisa was sitting on the terrace of Ace’s mansion, sipping on her coffee as the early morning sun painted the sky in hues of pink and orange. It was one of those rare peaceful moments they had these days, a brief respite from the chaos that seemed to follow them. She glanced over at Ace, who was leaning against the railing, lost in thought. He had been distant lately, more so than usual, and Lisa couldn’t help but worry.

“Return her, you piece of shit!” “Fucking braggart.” Yosuke grumbled through gritted teeth as he and Hina did the same. Nozomi held onto Araki’s hand that was painfully grabbing onto her hair. If she did not do so, she was sure her hair would have been torn out. She dug her fingers into his wrist and bore the prickly sensation that shot through her arms. However, Araki stubbornly held on as well. /I can’t die like this. I haven’t gotten to talk to Hikaru properly! I can’t have him doing something crazy and changing the world again. The front door (which is literally a torii gate that screams when you step through) suddenly slams open.

Ryan’s voice cut through the night. “Who are you?” His tone was sharp, but even he faltered, as the woman stepped closer, her gaze never leaving me. “I am Selene,” she said, her voice soft but carrying a strange authority. “And you, Aria, have been waiting for this moment longer than you know.” My heart raced as her words settled inside me like a key turning in a lock I didn’t even realize was waiting. I opened my mouth to ask more, but Selene simply nodded toward the darkness.
