Alpha Orion
His voice, when he spoke, was calm, almost coldly serene, like he hadn't just taken a man's life.
"Orion is dead," he said, the words echoing like thunder through the hall. "And I am Alpha of the North."
He lifted his gaze, meeting each pair of eyes in the room, daring, inviting and commanding.
"If anyone has objections..." he said softly, almost gently, "come forward."
No one moved.
The lights flickered, reflecting off the crimson pool that grew beneath Magnus's body. Outside, thunder rumbled across the mountains as though the North itself had felt the shift of power.
