Ascending To The Throne Novels & Stories

The band came alive as I walk through the gold carpet with escorts by my side. I stand beside my grandfather and watch him as he took his place in front, his crown glistening as he says. "Ladies and gentlemen, good evening. Thirty years ago, I was standing right here in front of the different royalties and aristocrats all over the world to pass the throne to my son, Jacob ...may he rest in peace. Unfortunately he pass away and now I'm here again, standing beside my heir." He smiled at me before turning back on the crowd. "I'd never imagined that I'll be able to have a flesh of my own as my successor. I thought that this bloodline will end but I am wrong. Now, may I present to you, the heir t

No one had expected to see her in the park house as the Alpha had made it clear that he did not want to see her anymore, not even around the park house. “It is a good time you are here. We are having a celebration. Today makes it twenty years since I ascended the throne” He smiled as they all walked back in. “Congratulations, father. You have indeed been on the throne for a long time.” She smiled. “Yes, I have and you will soon be the next Luna. I cannot wait to see you succeed me, my daughter. You would indeed rule well and right and my people will obey you. You are a good woman and everyone will love you” He smiled.

I approach Andrew, crouch down and lightly touch his hair. — The magnificent Kingdom of Ascabaltt, from now on, has a new King! — What? You cannot take the throne, with the death of Alexander, the new King must be Andrew! — Guilhermo exclaims vehemently after getting up from the ground. — You're really right, that throne would be Andrew's, if there wasn't Moriam's heir, but in that case, the throne no longer belongs to anyone in this family from today onwards, it's mine!

“Alicia, what do you think will happen should Coulson’s immediate royal members befall a tragic death?” The Queen spoke on the assumption of the future that could come to existence. “What do you mean by that? Why would you…” “What do you think will happen?” Alicia shut her eyes. “…The throne will fall in Ivan’s lap.” Like Ehrlich, Coulson’s bastard children from their concubine mothers have no rights to kingship titles. It was a tradition that originated from the ancient empire.

I tried again and again for the third time and this time I could lift it. Grandma was eagerly waiting for me when I took it to the entrance. She was in charge of the throne and assisted me in bringing it out successfully. Although the room was dimly lit, I could see my father's joy. Princess did not know what was going on; all she did was stand there and observe what I was going through. The chair was correctly positioned by Grandma and my father. It was the time when they had to place me on the throne to prove that I had claimed the kingdom. Stop with the intimidating voice, said the voice.

Adrian nodded his head and signalled everyone to follow him. "Let me tell you one thing. The one who is destined to sit on the throne, must win against all the challengers who are fighting to get the throne. Others can help make sure the opponents are not pulling any stunts to cheat." Adrian added firmly as they walked through the secret passage.

He was all alone despite the many people in the palace. “I understand,” he replied. “Would you be okay to have the meeting without me? My presence won’t be needed.” Angela laid her hand on his shoulder. “I understand. I will not force you to come. There are tough times ahead and I hope that you will have the strength to sail through them.” Sebastian knew she was right. There was a lot waiting for him now. There was his mother’s funeral and then his formal ascension to the throne. The crown that once adorned his mother’s head would be his.

I answered. He nodded and looked at me again, “The second reason why I’m here is to tell you that we can’t keep the throne empty for so long. We need someone to take that sit,” He said, and my face brightened all of a sudden. “I don’t understand.” I pretended to be surprised. “I know your votes weren’t quarter of what Alpha Joachim had, not to talk of what Alpha Horst had. But sadly, these two are nowhere to be found. We have to mourn them, but at the same time, the throne has to be given to the next available aspirant. That is what the rule says,” He explained, and I felt butterflies in my belly. I could smell power and authority in the air that surrounded me!

And as she ventured forward, she vowed to rise above the turmoil and protect what truly mattered—her bond with Adrien, a connection forged in the crucible of love and loyalty. Adrien strode into the throne hall with purpose, his steps echoing through the grand chamber. The air seemed to shift in reverence as he ascended the steps leading to his majestic throne. With grace and authority, he settled into the intricately carved seat, its regal presence befitting his status as alpha.

Every vampire born or turned had to be registered under the council, a body of five special vampires who ruled over every vampire in the country. Each member known as an elder. We all had to answer to them but I answered to no one. I was the girl whose birth was unscented, undisclosed. I had never met my mother, so I had no knowledge about authority as it went until I was nineteen. I had gone on a raid with a few of my friends as usual like the scavengers we were but I got caught by a protector. Being dragged like an animal to the council when my name wasn't found in the registry was one of the worst days of my life, the humiliation was real and I had swore to never relent to them. Suffice t
