Alpha Jasper
Apparently the Alpha had business elsewhere, so he didn't mind that we were leaving early.
The Desire Pack in the day is slightly less extravagant, and I knew the city had fallen asleep, preparing for another rush that is the night. No lights polluted the cloud capped sky, giving it a few hours to rest. Perched on Asher's hill, the cold and fog snaked up his driveway, drifting around Jasper and I's feet as we walk toward his car.
The concrete under my sneakers is slick with ice, as I slide around trying to find traction. Jasper offers to help me, but I don't want to touch him after last night.
