CHAPTER 30: The Snake Inside Vincenzo’s Pov I just stood there after the kiss. It was so stupid. I kissed her in that dark hallway. I shouldn't have done that. I'm the Don, i don’t just kiss people whenever I feel like it. I’m the boss of everything but she was right there, and she looked so mad at me for showing her off at the party. I liked that she was mad. She didn’t look scared at all. She just looked angry. I pulled away and left fast before I did anything else totally dumb.

But before I could move, a voice came from the rooftop exit. “What’s going on?” I froze, glancing over my shoulder. Adrien Volkov stood there, tall and sharp, his expression calm but eyes alert. His gaze moved from Serena to me, and for a brief second, I felt small. Serena immediately walked towards him, her shoulders straight and her face composed. “Nothing’s wrong,” she said quickly, not even looking back at me. Adrien nodded once, then leaned down and pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Alright,” he murmured.

They looked too good to resist. “God, you’re poison,” he groaned into my ear. I bit my lip without meaning to. “Biting your lip only makes me want to kiss you more.” He yearned. “Then do.” “I’ll be back soon,” he said again, loosening his grip and turning for the door,but stopped. And in the very next breath, he turned back, stormed toward me, and crushed his lips against mine. The kiss wasn’t gentle, at all. It was fire meeting gasoline, clashing and consuming. His hands gripped my face with a desperation that stole the breath right out of me.I clutched at his shirt, tugging him closer like I needed him to stay or I’d drown.

“I promise.” Then Sebastian came. He had his crossbow, looked stressed. “You’re really doing this?” he said. “You know how bad this could go.” “One mistake and that’s it.” “I won’t screw it up,” I said. “You always said I was good.” He didn’t say anything. Just hugged me tight and fast. “Come back,” he said. “Don’t be stupid.” I nodded. Didn’t speak. Couldn’t. I looked at Evelyn one last time. She was crying now, trying to hide it.

“Annika, did you just scrunch your nose up in disgust at me? My eyes move from her lean figure to Ares, but he totally ignores me, his hand slowly caressing the side of her face. “You look hot when you are angry,” he murmurs, then plants a peck on the side of her face before stalking away. “Ares!” “Hey!” Her claws dig into my skin as she whips me around to face him. “You didn’t answer my question.” “Because I can do whatever I want to do in my home!”

The diamonds were gone. Not the earrings replaced by smaller ones. Not the necklace swapped for something understated. Gone. All of it. Victoria Ashford was standing in the doorway of a forty-second floor meeting room in Singapore in a dark coat with no jewelry and no performance and nothing between her face and the room except her actual face. And her actual face was exhausted. Deeply, specifically, completely exhausted. The kind that lived in the bones. She looked at Elena first. Then at Alexander. Then at Catherine sitting at the table.

"Please, what, Serena? Tell me what you want from your monster." She sealed her lips tightly, averting her gaze, not wanting to say anything, but he kissed her ear. "Say it," he rumbled. "Kiss me," she whispered, the confession tearing from her throat before her mind could stop it. A dark, triumphant flare ignited in Victor’s blue pupils. He didn't hesitate for another second. He smashed his mouth down onto hers, claiming her lips with a raw, demanding passion that made her entire world tilt. Serena let out a soft, defeated groan into his mouth, her arms flying up to lock tightly around his neck, pulling him down closer, deeper.

"Good, girl." Xavier immediately captures my lips in an explosive kiss, a collision of pent-up emotion and passion. This is not just a kiss; it's a declaration of war against my sanity. His tongue sweeps across my lips with possessive demand, forcing me to open up and accept his complete dominance. I let out a soft moan, my hands weaving into his hair, pulling him closer until no air remains between us. The kiss is hot and wild, tasting like a burning, potent fragrance. Each touch of his lips seems to absorb all the wounds of betrayal I felt, replacing them with electric sparks that burn through my nerves. His steel-hard embrace is the only thing that feels real and dizzying.

"See I don't know... I mean, I was... I did not mean to..." "You have kissed me and you don't know? What do you mean by this?" He grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer suddenly. Serena looked into his eyes as she said moving her head, "I did not really.. mean to..." He touched her cheeks. Serena smiled sheepishly and said, "I was really... Please don't be angry..." She bit her lips as she looked at him with a puppy face. Denzel pushed her against the bed suddenly, making her more surprised. Serena held onto her breathing when he held both her hands over her head and said, "I was going to let you go but ..."

His hair rains down over his face, but I can see the way he is wincing. "You have no idea what I could to do you, Aspen,” he breathes. Unable to take the space between us, I tug him closer again. "Do it. I want you,” I assure him. His gaze travels over my face. Seeming satisfied with my reaction, he leans forward and kisses me again, although with slightly less vigour. Suddenly, a thought pops into my head that’s is impossible to banish. "Wait..." Kastriv pulls away immediately, looking down at me as if he believes he’s greatly offended me.
