Is there anything bothering you, honey?” Ashley asks noticing the apparent change. “No, I am fine, Aunty,” she answers with a smile. Ashley nods, mixing the cookie blend. “Aunty, can I ask you something?” she asks. “Sure,” she said. “I recently read one of your novels, and there’s this main character called Alex,” she began and Ashley nods paying attention to her.

Ashley sat close to the fire with her pen and book. She was just about to finish the last two chapters of her recent novel. Maybe I should make Avery's boyfriend break up with her? She reasoned. She opened her pen cover again and continued writing. It was her sixth novel since the beginning of the first half of the year.

“Where, or what? Which one would you like to get now? Or will it be both? You decide.” Julianne knew what he was talking about. He was asking if she wanted to get the book now or get answers to the questions she had. And if she wanted both, she would have to visit the boy’s dormitory. “What is he talking about?” Marianne asked her. Daelan taps my shoulder twice before withdrawing his hand. Arwyn joins us, along with the other Embers who begin to huddle around. Brax climbs a rock. "I'm hoping you all saw the poster in the library and the names on it, but I'll call them out again." He produces a paper from his shoulder bag and holds it open. "Makyla Green..." He begins, calling out about a dozen more Embers, including Jagger, Daelan, and Sora. Then he faces me. "...Thrystan Gaelan and Arwyn Balchor."
