Amara dove for the gun—fingers brushing the cold metal— A hand clamped around her ankle. She screamed as she was yanked backward across the floor. The assassin flipped her onto her back, his cold eyes inches from hers. “Don’t fight. It will be painless.” A lie. She could hear it in his voice. Before he could strike— **BANG!** A gunshot exploded through the room. The assassin froze. Blood bloomed across his side. He turned. Dante stood behind him. Breathing hard. Bleeding.

“Guess you can see that for yourself.” I remained silent, my expression unreadable. I started toward the door, but Casey shifted, blocking my path. “You know,” he said, voice casual, “I’m actually glad he’s gone.” That made me pause. My eyes narrowed slightly, a silent demand for him to continue. Casey’s lips curled into something that wasn’t quite a smile. “I knew what you were from the beginning. Assassin. A famous one, at that.” He tilted his head, watching me carefully. “I always wanted to warn Gerald, tell him exactly what kind of woman he was dealing with. But I didn’t, because I was afraid.”

Mayari simply replied. "You haven't restored all of the energy you've lost." Helen explained, "You must go back to bed." Mayari nodded as a respond. And with the help of the fatigued that helplessly ache in her entire body, she immediately succumb to sleep once again. Meanwhile, at an abandoned house. "How could you fail?!" the hooded man roared in anger, "What kind of an assassin are you? I'll tell you what, you're a failure!". "Can you keep it down, I'm trying to rest here." Jim whined as a respond.

"His men were always around. One wrong move, I'd be Swiss cheese before I could complete the mission." Olek shook his head. "Save that bullshit for some rookie who'll swallow it. Not me. You're one of the best assassins breathing, Raven. With top-tier training. I've seen you end a man with a goddamn paperclip without blinking. Thigh holsters, ring blades, poison lipstick. You could've garroted him mid-fuck and walked away whistling. But no. You've lost the plot entirely. Sleeping with the man you're supposed to kill. The man who murdered your sister."

I tapped his shoulder. He hesitated. “I just want to go play with something.” I said. He set me down and I limped over to the wall of knives and picked up a multicolored butterfly knife. I flipped it around, opening and closing it between my hands. “I need a new one of these. My old one is loose.” I flipped it closed and looked at Malachi, he was just staring at me in amazement. “What?” “I just forgot that you are a trained assassin. That’s all.”

He lunged at me, his blade glinting in the moonlight, but I evaded his attack with a swift sidestep. My fist tightened as I seized the opening, delivering a crushing blow to his midsection with all my strength and speed which opened a hole in his chest. The sickening sound of bones cracking echoed through the forest as he crumpled to the ground, gasping for breath. Blood poured from his mouth, mixing with the dirt beneath him. I stood over his broken form, my chest heaving with exhaustion. His eyes met mine, filled with a mixture of defiance and defeat. With a cold, heartless smile, I leaned closer, my voice dripping with malice. "Your mission ends here, assassin. You should have stayed home

“Are you okay?” Erdem asked, his voice gentle. I nodded and my legs gave in. I sat down on the ground and nodded my head. “What a hustle,” The assassin grumbled as he stood up massaging the left side of his stomach. “I wasn’t expecting anyone to interrupt my game for a while.” He sighed cracking his knuckles. He then proceeded to stretch his limbs. “Let’s start, shall we? I don’t have all night.” Erdem snarled and the assassin smirked. “I will kill you along with the thought of hurting what is mine again! Right here, right now!”

Too deliberate for a guard. “Pretty thing,” a voice hissed. “You won’t feel a thing. Orders are orders.” “Orders? Ha! Maybe you should’ve read them twice,” I shot back, rolling onto my side, ready. An assassin. I counted silently. One… two… three. I felt the floor vibrate beneath him. His shadow stretched across the room like a predator stalking prey. He moved with a predator’s grace, silent except for the soft scuff of his boots. One wrong step and he would be on me before I could react.

Seeing Arthur stand up, even after he had delivered such a powerful attack on him, the assassin was annoyed and intimidated, but he was also amused at the same time, knowing that this kid was really something else. The assassin laughed Amusedly, he had never met someone like this guy in his whole career as an assassin, no one had ever survived his finishing attack. "You're a hard one to kill aren't yo…" The assassin couldn't finish his sentence as Arthur suddenly moved towards him, landing a blow on the assassin. Crack! There was a cracking sound, as Arthur kicked the assassin in the ribs. "Argh." The assassin yelped in pain, as he rolled to the ground.
