Once Upon An Alpha

Once Upon An Alpha

For some reason, I felt like the creek was where I should be, like something in my gut was pulling me there. Once I reached the creek, I stayed in the woods closest to the village. I opened the well-worn pages of my stolen book. The scent of the paper called out to my soul and enveloped me. I had only read a few pages before my eyelids became heavy. I tried to fight against them, but they won. I was slipping into darkness when I caught a wisp of the aroma from earlier. I couldn’t even try to look up for the source before I was completely buried in the darkness, and sleep consumed me.

This story is so good!! The author seems to put time and effort behind their characters!! And while peoples choices can be frustrating, baby beta looking at you, they all make sense with how the story is progressing and what’s happened! Couldn’t recommend this book enough!

I love this book. The author has created a wonderful world with well thought characters that I actually care about. The characters aren't perfect, they each have their own flaws and personalities. Each of them have grown in their own ways.

ALPHA FAY: True Bloodline

ALPHA FAY: True Bloodline

He turned the doorknob quietly and walked out of the room and he sneaked perfectly well out of the house. Soon, he was on the road leading to the woods. The woods were thick with so many trees and most especially it was dark and hazy. The children were scared of the place and mothers use the place to scare and keep their children in check. Not a place for a ten-year-old boy to be in, but there he was, in the middle of the night, under the moonlight, walking into the woods, fearlessly. He stopped at the entrance of the woods and looked into it, it was dark and he was frightened. He turned around to go back to his house but he just could not. A force pulled him back to the woods and the voice

Into The Wild And Unknown

Into The Wild And Unknown

As Kate and Adela were busy bickering on who is my better companion, I remembered that we had to mind link the family to let them know to reach the woods before we reach there along with the psychotic trio. “Kate did you mind link the family to reach the woods?” “they might have reached by now, considering they don’t have Andrew’s services, but they left the ranch as soon I mind linked them about the mad trio planning to send us into the chamber in the basement as soon as lunch is done, but let me check on them again.” A minute passes by and Kate confirms that they made it to the woods and are in position. I just hope everything goes smoothly and according to plan…

The Alpha's possession

The Alpha's possession

I walked further, I could hear the screaming, and the shuffling of feet against dry Wood as the leaves danced. When I heard that familiar voice screaming, I rushed over heading for Into the Woods, only to see Raymond drenched in blood with an axe in his hand, there was some girl who was tied to a tree almost Naked, and another on the ground. it was as if he was trying to force himself on her and he was taking turns on the girls. my adrenaline rushed up, and I wanted to rip his throat out right there, I knew he would never change but I did not expect that he would become this beastly, the atrocity he was committing was too much and his father was letting him.

Marked by the Heir Alpha

Marked by the Heir Alpha

I wonder that as much as I wonder why they even exist in a world that only has to do with humans. I was skeptical about going into the woods but then something catches my attention that eventually changes my mind about going in or not. And after much deliberation, I find myself giving in to the whole idea of going in. I won't lie, I was drawn into the woods by the ray of light I saw. It didn't just look strange but it was something I would not expect to notice which is why I give in to the urge. Once I've walked quite a distance, I realize I've not found the light that got me into the woods in the first place. And it made me wonder if that was the fraction of my imagination that I saw that g

The Alpha Of My Dreams

The Alpha Of My Dreams

Intrigued, i decided to take the book back to the cabin to show Nikau. When i arrived back at the cabin, i excitedly showed Nikau the book, telling him all about the strange symbols and images that i had seen. Nikau was equally intrigued by the book, but nikau said that he would be leaving to check out on the pack for a few days. He asked me not to join him as he would be travelling in his wolf form. After he left, I settled into my cozy spot by the fireplace in the cabin, I opened the old book I had checked out from the library. The title, "The Lost Village of Ravenswood", immediately caught my attention and I was eager to learn more about this mysterious place.

Into the Unknown Lands

Into the Unknown Lands

With a sad smile he got up and said, "Tanisi what is the moral of the story? Sometimes, what you see isn't true. Here You are the child, not one but there are many snakes... and your ego is the mother.. Don't kill the Mongoose... Tanisi.. Don't kill the Mongoose..." Facing her he stepped back closing in on the distance between the door and him. She stepped forward. She had many questions, her heart heavy with emotions, and her mind asking her to stop him. She was so disturbed she didn't see him stop and kept moving forward. By the time she came to her senses she was so close to him that she could feel his breath which had increased considerably considering her proximity to him. She suddenly

Her Alphas.

Her Alphas.

The pull in my gut tightened with every step, sharp and insistent—like a string tied around my spine and someone tugging hard from the other end. I wasn’t supposed to go into the woods. Especially not alone. Not after what happened with Raina an hour ago. Not with every pack member still giving me the stink eye. But I went anyway. The moment I stepped past the tree line, silence crashed down like a weight. No crickets. No wind. Just that hum under my skin—low... ancient, like something buried deep in my blood had woken up and was screaming to be heard.

The Luna's Deception

The Luna's Deception

The smoke reached me before the flames did. It crawled into my lungs like something alive, thick with burning pine and a rot underneath that had nothing to do with wood or ash. Something darker. Something that made my wolf press itself flat against the inside of my chest and refuse to move. I kept walking anyway. My silver feet pressed silently into the frozen ground as our small group pushed deeper into the Shadowpine trees, swallowed by the kind of darkness that felt like it had eyes.

The Rogue’s Savage Claim on Me

The Rogue’s Savage Claim on Me

FAO We reached the ranch at dawn. The road wound up into the mountains, through dense pine forest that reminded me painfully of the woods around Elowen's cabin. The same quality of dark between the trees, the same way the light came in at angles through the canopy. But these woods were different. I could smell wolves everywhere. Territory markers. Pack scent layered so deep into the land it had become the land. Home, something in my chest whispered, even though I'd never been here before.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're asking about the more recent general reader reaction to Stephen Sondheim's 'Into the Woods', I think there's a clear split in the community. A lot of long-time musical theatre fans who pick up the script or the critical edition seem to focus on the genius of the structure, how the second act deconstructs the 'happily ever after' in a way that feels painfully relevant now. The reviews often talk about the emotional whiplash—it’s funny and clever, then suddenly it's profoundly sad. I saw one reviewer on Goodreads say it made them re-evaluate every fairy tale they’d ever consumed.

But there’s another camp, especially newer readers coming from the Disney movie adaptation, who find the tonal shift jarring and the ending too bleak. They’ll comment that the characters become unlikeable or that the messages about wishes and consequences are hammered home too bluntly. It's fascinating to watch those discussions play out. Personally, I think the book’s enduring power is in that discomfort; it refuses to be a simple, comforting story. The latest critiques I've scanned still grapple with that duality, with some readers calling it a masterpiece of form and others dismissing the latter half as a cynical downer. It’s a book that demands a reaction, and that hasn't changed.
