Soon, a large flower caught her eye. Its red petals edged with orange glowed like fire, and its scent was divine. Entranced, Darina leaned closer.
“Stop!” Atlas’s voice boomed.
“It’s just a flower. I wanted to smell it,” she said, confused.
Atlas hurled a stone at it. The flower snapped it up with huge teeth, gobbling it whole.
“That could’ve been your nose,” Atlas said flatly. “Don’t touch anything. Stay close. And ask before you do something stupid again.”
