Atlas was quiet for a long time, his hands moving mechanically, washing her arms, her back.
"You're different than the others," he said finally.
"What others?"
"The ones before you. The ones he broke." Atlas's voice was hollow, distant. "They all gave up eventually. Stopped fighting. Stopped hoping. Just... existed until he got bored."
