I took a deep breath to control my tears. Leo looked at me concerned knowing I was attacked while protecting him. “Are you alright, Miss warrior?” I gently caressed his head and smiled confidently to make him feel at ease, even though the gash on my back hurt. “Don’t worry I am fine, I am one of the strongest warriors afterall. I will protect you no matter what.” I swallowed hard, forcing calm into my voice. “Rest. You’re safe now.” But he wasn’t. And I knew it. Because if someone had sold him out once, they could do it again.

A pause stretched. Then the scarred warrior nodded once, approval shining in his eyes. The others followed, one by one.

Urged on by his support, the warriors moved again. So did I. A Warrior came at me brazenly from the front. In one swift motion, I knocked his feet out from under him, so that he landed with a deafening thud on the hard ground. Maya shouted, and I turned to see one of the men had her by the hair.
