Lora's POV The person who stepped out of the dark trees was a young woman. Even though her body was small, the way she stood made it clear she carried authority. Her face had strong clear features, and long black hair fell smoothly over her shoulders. Her bright green eyes held a level of confidence that was equal to Jasper’s. Several warriors stood around her. Each one carried a weapon and watched us closely with careful and judging eyes. “My name is Aurora,” she said. Her voice was calm, steady, and full of strength. “I am the daughter of Alpha Oren. You have entered Redfur land without permission.”

Delmor stood waiting for us to take our positions. "Welcome all to this day blessed by the Moon Goddess. I am pleased to announce our Alpha, Alpha Draven has at long last found his mate." The crowd cheered. "We will be welcoming Aura as a member and Luna to our pack!" Cheers and howls once again erupted from the crowd. Delmor stepped back as I stepped up to the podium, Aura stood waiting, her eyes never leaving me. "Thank you, Delmor. I would like to formally introduce you all to my mate, your Luna, Aura." The crowd clapped and cheered loudly. Aura hurriedly stepped over to me. I held out my hand to her.

Morning comes, gray and heavy. I sit at the breakfast table, untouched food cooling in front of me, staring into nothing. My parents speak around me about patrol schedules and pack matters, as if the world hasn’t nearly shattered in the night. Then Aurora arrives. She sweeps into the mansion like sunlight, bright and confident, her laughter filling the room instantly. She kisses my mother’s cheek, greets my father warmly, and launches straight into animated chatter about dress fittings, venues, colors. “I was thinking silver accents,” she says, practically glowing. “Strong, traditional. Alpha-worthy.”

Who cares about appointments when he really wants to be with her? Aurora sighed softly. She'd turned down a lot of advances from men but this fellow surnamed Grimard is choking her. She complained in a shaky tone. "What are you waiting for? Speed up" She commanded, the driver increased the speed limits immediately. "I really hope they would not harm my parents, I can't bear to see them suffer or lose them" Tears rolled down her cheeks at the thought of that. They trained her to take over the pack after their retirement, everything she needed was provided, the plan changed when Daxton showed up to date Aurora which led to marriage, and the pack was handed over to him.
