Lena was happier, engaging Dawn in conversation, telling her all about her godmother Lillian. “You’re going to love Aunty Lily, Dawnie”, the brunette said, barely containing her excitement “she’s the coolest woman I know”. The eighteen year old listened with mild interest as Lena then launched into tale after tale of her life with Lillian from pillow fights to water balloon wars to accidently making a cake explode in the oven. Dawn chuckled at the amusing parts of the twenty one year old’s stories, glad to have this as a distraction from her half-brother’s unexpected appearance at the diner.
