Kendra twisted in the saddle so that she could better see the trail behind her. She and Rex had left their home at dawn on their hunting trip to a new and unexplored area. Interestingly enough, the grounds were lush with plant life in comparison to most of the areas that they’d been hunting in, yet there was absolutely no game to be found. At first, they’d thought that it might be due to an abundance of zombies about, but they’d yet to come across a single one of them.

Opening the door, Christiana stood in front of her. "I forgot my handbag and umbrella at your house." "So sorry for the inconvenience." Her voice was laced with remorse. Stepping into the dimly lit room, Christiana spotted her handbag and umbrella, grabbing it, she thanked Daisy and stepped out immediately.

"My name is Henry King, 26 years old, Alpha of Red Fire pack of the northern mountains and the king of Alphas, descendant of the last living monarch of werewolves. He brought forth his right hand for a shake . “ it is Karen Houston . ” she corrects him . Without accepting his handshake , she keeps a straight face and tilts her head to the left . Luther wondered why on earth she was cold to him just like her friend . He truly believed in the adage that says ‘ Birds of a feather, flock together ’ ,Karen and Isabella are perfect examples of the popular saying .

I folded my arms, trying to steady myself, heart hammering as his eyes flicked toward me just as the guard stepped back. “Ma’am, let’s go. The boss has arrived,” the guard said, calm but firm. My knees trembled as I lifted my gaze. “Who… who is he? Is he…?” I whispered, dread coiling tight in my chest, when suddenly his height felt strangely familiar. “Yes, ma’am. Mr. Evan Grant, our king,” the guard replied. WHAT! This is the evil I’ve been defying? Slowly, I turned toward the car he had stepped out of, the same black shade and model that had vanished into the darkness that night.
