It was a hot night, the clear night holding no signs of clouds but a bright moon hanging high in the sky. A house sat in the moons gleam soft lighting coming from within. A lone figure steps out of the house and walks down the stairs, walking down the cement path leading to the driveway. The figure turns to the left and sat down on a bench.
When the moonlight touched the figure it showed to be a woman with glistening black hair. Her eyes held sadness and regret that showed within her blue eyes. Looking up to the blackness of the night sky looking at the stars showed brightly, she held back the tears that were forming in her eyes.
Today would mark the fifth year of exile. The fifth year of which marked the death of a friend and lose of a lover. Any other day of the year she would not care less or not think of it but today was always the hardest.
Jezzebelle D’aramitz sat on that bench with her thoughts swirling around in her head. What if she had been born just a normal human. Being born into the vampire court was the worse fate a person could have been wished upon. What is even worse is not having both parents being same, instead of a father being a vampire and the mother being the human.
“Sis what are you doing out here?”
Jezzebelle looked over her shoulder to see her sister, Annabelle walking down the stairs towards her. Unlike her, her little sister had blonde hair but had their fathers striking blue eyes. Eyes that also had seen too much.
“I am just thinking, I needed some air.”
Anna signed, walking towards her taking a seat next to her.
“You mean your thinking of that day? Sissy I wish I could change the past for you but you need to get over the fact we will never return. We will never get our powers back and be welcomed back with arms wide open.”
Jezzebelle turned to her sister, her eyes tearing up.
“I just wish I could turn back the clock, I miss him but yet wish I had not falling in love with him other wise all of this would not have happened. We would not be exiled and powerless.”
Sighing, Anna got up from the bench she took a deep breath, closed her eyes and shook her head.
“It is not your fault, I know you did not do what they accused you of doing. It is why we left with you. We choose to follow you into exile.”
Jezzebelle looked up at her sister and gave a little smile.
“I am glad you did, for I do not know what I would of done without you and the girls.”
Anna smiled back at her sister and turned to walk back to the house. Staring off to the side of the side of the house into the woods, a thought or more of a memory of a word flashed through her mind. “Our hearts are one, I would never betray you nor question your ability. Stay with me through eternity. I love you.” Those words she would keep to her soul but it neither helped or solved her emotions.
Looking back at the house smiling sadly, she did not even mean to drag her sister and the only two friends who are more like sisters than anything else.
“Honey you shouldn’t think about him, you always get depressed when you do.”
Smiling, Jezzebelle looked at her mother, whom age showed very brightly on her. She had long gray hair, beautiful green eyes but her form tells a different tale. It is only due to the fact sickness she has has aged her further due to the pain she goes through. Her mother has cancer and refuses to let go of living. She had offered to give her mother the gift of immortality…..but she basically spat on the floor and started slurring a bunch of words saying “Why the hell would I want to be stuck in a world with a bunch of blood suckers who cant tell one ass cheek to the other”
Giggling at her mothers past response, she smiled up to her mom. “ How are you still up its 11pm. You should be in bed.”
“Pft bed yeah, have you heard the ruckus that’s going down in the basement, it sounds like Abby and Katrina are singing off key they are driving me nut. I can not sleep through that.
Shaking her head Jezzebelle she walked through the hallway past the stairs to the basement door. Yanking it opened she yelled “Hey idiots, you know there is a singing curfew for the lesser minded people. There are sickly people in need of rest!”
“ Oh go blow a hole Jez we are practicing.”
“Kaitlyn if you do not want to abide by the rules then I guess I need to come down there and teach you a lesson on obedience.”
Kay squeaked and responded “I am sorry I will stop for the night but doesn’t mean I find something else to drive you nuts muwhahahah.”
Jezzebelle sighed
“Abby you keep her in check, I don’t care if you need to throw duct tape over her mouth and strap her down to a chair.”
“Ok Jezze, I can do that!”
Shutting the door, she turned to face her mom. “Try to get some sort of sleep mom, I will probably be up for a while.
Watching her mother walk slowly down the hallway to her bedroom, she waited for her to shut the door and stood there at the door making sure she finally had fallen asleep.
After hearing her mother snore a good couple of times, she turned and walked down gently opening the door leading to the basement, stopping for a minute to hear the chattering that was going on, she shut the door and walked down the steps.
Her face held disgust on it when she looked at all three girls. Shaking her head she sat down on the couch. Not really paying attention to their talk but most of it she just blocked it all out so it sounded like jabbering. Finally she got up not interested in hearing their stories
She turned to her bedroom to the left. “I am going to go lay down knuckle heads, I need to get my mind clear for our meeting with our manager tomorrow in which I am not looking forward too.
Jezzebelle layed staring at the ceiling while everyone else had gone to bed. Her thoughts still reeling from past events. “How will I ever overcome my failure to my father and my love. Living in this world is cruel.” Closing her eyes, she waited for sleep to claim her instead memories shifted through her mind. Memories of the life she once had. The Society she was born in was the cruelest and wasn’t for the weak. In order to survive you had to be strong and cunning. She had been both until a very jealous vampire decided to make sure everything was taken from her.
She knew what would calm her down, getting out of bed she went to her dresser and pulled open her lower drawer. Shifting through some of her shirts, she found what she was looking for. A white shirt made to fit a man with laces that held the top together rather than buttons. Bringing the shirt to her nose, Jezzebelle breathed in a scent only her nose would catch.
Taking the shirt to the bed, she laid it on a pillow and buried her face into it. Wishing for the one person who it belongs to was there next to her. Sleep finally claimed her, but instead of dreams memories were in place.
Belle pushed her way through the throng of kids and staff members, working her way to her locker. Grabbing her books that were required for the next two classes, she shut the locker. Every time she passed by students or staff they inclined their heads, showing the respect. Although a few had glares at her, showing her that they were displeased with their Kings choice. She had Art class next in which High Council Member Marco was the one who taught it. Down the hallway leading to the class she saw Maddie hanging around a bunch of students. She went to go near her but thought twice. There stood Alexander McField, with his arm slung around he as he was talking to his friends. Maddie looked bored, she did not look like she was enjoying herself. Closing her eye's Belle knew she would have to walk past them. God this is going to be a pain in my ass. I need to act regal like nothing is going to bother me. I need to act like Zephyr and hold my head high like nothing can bring me down. Opening
Zephyr snickered and smiled at her, like he had a really nasty surprise coming up. Aurelie was writing in her planner and smiling down at it. Belle looked back and forth at them. "Okay you guys are up to something, this early in the morning." Aurelie pushed her black hair behind her shoulders showing one of her ears. "Now would we do that to you....Your Grace." Giving her a distasteful look Belle looked at her father."Do I want to know what they have going on." Lazarus looked at her and then back at the window. "Probably not, I just know your not going to like it." The limo came to a stop and Belle looked out the window. Yep I should of known this was coming Baba was right. All of the staff was lined up waiting for the limo to stop. She looked at Zephyr like she was going to kill him.He looked away with a smug look on his face. "What is the matter my lovely little rose, do not like what you see." He chuckled through her mind. She turned once again and growled very low and deadly. "I
Age 17Jezzebelle spent the remainder of her spring break learning what Zephyr did not of the time. From paperwork to visits. Alot of the visits were trade agreements and financial bids. She told Zephyr she just wanted to listen in on the conversations and give a little in sight as she was still learning. He agreed and would ask for her advice on a couple of things. At the end of the week they started their travels back to the winter Manor.Being back home the girls asked how everything went. She told them what went on except the part of teasing Zephyr into a raging hard on. Belle looked in to the vanity mirror she was sitting at. I wonder how Maddie is doing. I will try to talk to her at school tomorrow. She held a locket the King gave her. It opened to reveal a portrait of him. She remembered what he said the day before when he handed it to her. This locket will serve you when you need to look for me on your lonely nights without me beside you. Smiling at what he had said to her, sh
Zephyr and the Council members moved in the shadows following the girls to the car. They watched from the roof as Belle dragged in the night air, closing her eyes taking in the sounds. They all saw the sadness in her eyes as she opened them. Anna put a hand on her shoulder and asked her if she was alright. "I heard their voices Anna. It has been four years, I miss them I miss all of them." Shaking her head Anna had to look away. Zephyr had to do the same, a tear leaked from his eyes. Closing his eyes, he put his emotions back in check. Looking back at Belle, he could tell she was not feeding well her skin did not truly hold the perfection vampires had when fed properly. Her hair did not shine with the blue blackness it usually did. The nutrients in the blood must be over working trying to carry what the Blood Magic normally did. Soon my little blood rose. Soon you can come home to your family, just wait a little bit more. Anna had hugged her sister and helped her to the car.As the gi
Belle could hear the heartbeat of the hunter when Dante dropped him at her feet. Dante did a twirl and landed behind the hunter. The hunter turned fast and tried to run, tripping over his own feet. Snickering, Dante smiled and snarled at the hunter making the hunter shriek again. When he turned around he came face to face with Belle. His eye's widen and then went and reached behind him. He pulled out a knife and growled."Die! You blood sucker!"The hunter went to move forward but Dante grabbed the knife out of his hands."Nice try loser! Your not going to kill her but feed her. She's starving and could use your life to feed her's." As soon as he said that Dante kicked at one of his legs, shattering it. Screaming the hunter bent down to hold his broken leg but Dante grabbed him by the throat. The hunters arms started to frail as Dante held him without breaking a sweat. Extending one of his finger nails, he sliced into his neck. The hunters neck started to bleed and Belle caught the swe
Belle smiled very weakly as Cici moved behind her. Unfolding her wings she covered Belle as she lifted her shirt up. Wincing, Belle tried to hide her pain. She could feel warmth spread alongside her back. It felt wonderful as it was easing her pain."I promise it is only light magic healing. Good news you only have a few broken bones."Cirella moved around, keeping her wings up so that way Belle was blocked from the males view. Cirella placed her hands on Belle's stomach and closed her eyes. Belle gasped in pain as her bones healed into the proper spots. Sucking in the air, Belle kept her eyes closed as everything on her body started to lessen in pain. Feeling the pain lessen, she opened her eyes and looked into Cirella's eye's. She winked at her and placed Belle's shirt back down. Folding her wings behind her, Cici went to her husband."Beeeelllleeee."Looking towards the sound, Belle watched as Erlik brought Kat down. Seeing that the girls were okay she let out a breath of relief. L
