Novel & Cerita Author Nora Ephron

Chapter 2: An opportunity She finally stood up from the ground, looked around, and then left. Her name is Nora Remington, a lady of 24 years old with Emerald eyes and brown hair, she is from Fresno in California. Nora's flight time it's the same as Kieran but she decided to smell the environment of Fresno once before finally leaving for New York to start a new life. She has a friend who lives in New York and is ready to find a job for Nora.

Soft footsteps, the faint creak of a mattress, a drawer opening, fabric shifting. I carefully nudged the door open a bit and peered inside. Nora stood by my bed, lifting the corner of the mattress with one hand while sliding something underneath with the other. Her entire demeanor had changed, gone was the gentle sister, replaced by someone sharp, precise, and cold. She wasn’t even being subtle about it. I waited until she smoothed the blanket back into place, then I pushed the door open fully. “Here’s your…” I lifted an empty glass meaningfully, “Oh. You don’t want it anymore?”

By the time Nora started to show, I already had answers. Not all of them. That would’ve been impossible. But enough to narrow the chaos into something I could work with. Nora stood near the open window of the main hall, one hand resting absentmindedly over the curve of her stomach as she listened to Elias explain something about energy fluctuations in the southern ward lines. The late afternoon light hit her just right, catching in her hair, warming her skin, and making the faint shift in her silhouette impossible to ignore now.

“I know, it’s just ... I’m afraid Javier will start noticing that something is different about you.” Nora waved it off gently. “Have you forgotten? I’m a theater girl, and I’m talented at acting. It’s just that I love designing clothes more than having to pretend in front of many people for the sake of acting.” Elena gave an embarrassed grin. “So ... what’s your plan next?” “I don’t know.” Nora shrugged. “Besides gathering as much evidence as possible so that when the time comes, they won’t be able to deny it anymore, I also need to make sure of one thing.”

Her cold gaze flicked toward Eleanor, sharp enough to make the older woman visibly uncomfortable. Eleanor reached for her hand, plastering on a fawning smile. "Nora, I know there's history between us. But I raised you for eighteen years. Blood or not, you were mine in every way that mattered. Seeing how far you've come now I'm genuinely proud of you." The warmth did nothing to disarm Nora. If anything, it sharpened her guard further. People don't change. They just get older and better at hiding what they already were. Nora gently withdrew her hand. "Mrs. Ashford. Let's skip the pleasantries and get to the point."

Thirty-five: Nora Connolly Nora didn’t know how long she was in the room by herself. What she did know was that she was starving. And weak. And she had tried connecting to Roman using that mate connection thing but she hadn’t gotten a single answer. Maybe she wasn’t even doing it right. Roman, she chanted in her mind, Roman, Roman, ROMAN….

“Twenty-four hours, Kiara. Twenty-four! Alone with my Zane!” Nora paced across the room like she had personally been robbed. “And everyone knows what Chloe is like. She’s a cheater. She uses her connections, she bends the rules, and somehow she always gets away with it.” “Nora—” “No, I’m serious.” Nora turned toward me. “Think about it. First, she takes my spot during the challenge. Then you mysteriously get injured. And now she wins it?” She shook her head. “That is way too convenient.”

Settling on making a quick omelet, I gathered eggs, cheese, and some leftover vegetables. As I whisked the eggs, my mind wandered back to the past couple of days. I wondered if Grace was asleep right now, or sitting up feeling scared and lonely. Tomorrow, I would prepare a meal for her, I decided. And maybe bring her a few of those books I had purchased. “Midnight snack, Kayla?” I jumped at the sound of the voice, nearly dropping the bowl. Turning, I saw Nora leaning casually against the doorway, her arms crossed and a smug smile playing on her lips. She was dressed impeccably, as always, in a silk robe that accentuated her slim figure.

NARRATOR In a gorgeous private restaurant with an incredible view of the city, two people were having lunch at an elegant table for two as they chatted mainly about business. Opposite Rock was a glamorous looking woman, who seemed to be in her early forties. She was no other person but Nora Jones. She was a famous renowned actress and the CEO of Nora cosmetics. She was also the author of Hidden Secrets; The Heart of Man. This is a book that was as widely known as its author.

Kelvin said to her, "Listen, I don't know you... I have never met you before in my life. I have no idea what you are talking about." Nora brought out her phone and showed him the video and pictures that were posted on her work site. "You did this, didn't you?" she asked. "What did I ever do to you? Was it a crime for me to have mistakenly fallen asleep in a hotel room? People make mistakes and this is one I truly regret but then, did I deserve this??" she asked. She tried her best to control her tears and stop them from rushing but she couldn't. When Sara noticed Nora was crying, she tried to pull her away but Nora shook off her hand. "I only took two glasses, I had no idea they would make m
