Albeit, slowly, it didn’t even make a single sound. My mind instantly trailed back to the book I had previously read in the pack library. ‘There are 4 Reavers that rule the Underworld.’ Raphael was one of the names in the book. I was snapped from my thoughts when I looked up and found myself face to face with an eerily gorgeous man.

Evelina whispered, her eyes on the pile of ashes. “She did not,” I relented. “And that means Avalon is weak. The land requires a guardian to maintain the balance of magic,” Evelina explained worriedly. “Let’s worry about maintaining the balance, after defeating the evil demon who wants to take over the world,” I said wryly, turning to look at Axton who was now dead. “As—” “Look out, Evie!” Sinclair cut me off, moving to shield her as a demon rushed from above straight towards her.

It seemed to radiate a faint magical aura. Curiosity getting the better of them, Alex picked up the book. Its cover was adorned with intricate runes and symbols, and the title read, "The Chronicles of Destiny: A Hero's Journey." The pages within were filled with tales of chosen heroes who had risen to face great challenges. As they read through the stories, a sense of connection and purpose washed over Alex. It was as if these heroes from different realms were speaking directly to them, urging them to embrace their own destiny. With the book in hand, Alex sought the wisdom of the town's sage, Mrs. Evelyn, known for her knowledge of the mystical and arcane. She lived in a cozy cottage on the

On the altar, there was a large book made of human skin. Alexander explained to them that the book was the Book of Eden, a holy book that contained all the knowledge and secrets about vampires. The book was written by the first vampire who created the island, and could only be read by his descendants. Alexander was the only one who could open and read the book. Alexander said that he wanted to share the contents of the book with Victoria and Lily, because he felt that they were special people who deserved to know the truth about vampires. He also said that he had a special feeling for Victoria, and he wanted to make her his partner.

Victory's glow in Chapter 25 sealed with a final love scene under stars, Alya and Kael's bodies entwining, tattoos blazing, passion a testament to growth. Veyra’s escape in Chapter 26 left a curse, her red eyes vowing revenge, while Soren's prophecy shadowed the dawn: "A greater darkness rises—the eternal crescent calls new blood." It hooked for Book 2, Alya's growth sealed, the pack united but forever changed.

I grab a blanket to cover my sister and make my way to the door. I try to navigate through the burning house, the smoke is getting worse, and Maddox is struggling to keep my lungs clear. I am at the stairs now, they creak under our weight and as I take a few steps I realise they are not going to hold up. I rush down and barely make the last few steps when the entire thing collapses. The living room is ablaze, and the flames are impossible to dodge, I can feel my flesh burning, as I try to shield Sloane from the flame. White hot sheering pain goes through my body, but I keep heading for the door. Just because wolves can heal quickly doesn’t mean they don’t feel pain.

If the heart of Wysteria, it is at the border of each kingdom, in the middle. Avalon. The town closest to Wysteria's heart. "At which hour invasion starts from the heart," I said. "Avalone was attacked today." It makes sense! "The creatures of the dark cometh fourth." It refers to the monsters that attacked Avalone! But I don't know what 'the daylight shall bleedeth' means. The moon shall caterwauling'. Bleeding in the morning? And what does caterwauling even mean? I only understand one thing, these are signs of the end of immortality! This is not a prophecy, this is an augury!

The flames dancing dangerously as it licked over the floor before us, looking for its victim to claim. With one last shove, the henchman met the flames in a bright burst of colour. Sounds of screaming and dark laughter rebounded off of the cave walls as the fire drew the lifeless form into it. It carried on licking at the floor in search of its next victim, edging closer and closer to our waiting place. Without hesitating further, we push Angelique’s body towards the ever nearing flames. The fire hungrily engulfing her as she disappeared before our eyes. And just like that Angelique was no longer, and Avalon was safe from my fathers prying eyes once more.

As secrets surface and desire ignites, she’s caught between a man she should fear and a passion she can’t ignore. The deeper she falls into Alexander’s world, the harder it becomes to tell whether he’s her captor… or her only chance at survival. Dark. Addictive. Explosive. Blood & Oath is a gripping mafia romance about loyalty, revenge, and a love so fierce it might just destroy them both. CHARACTERS.
