Avalon: The Book Novels & Stories

Oblivion took hold of me, and a chamber of ice encased my swollen heart. ** The story continues in Book 2: The Bloodstone Vampire. Out December 1st 2020. Thank you for reading SRWW – I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have!**

He changed the subject. I squinted my eyes but didn’t say anything. He plucked the book out of my hand and adjusted his glasses. It reminded me of Andrew. “Danger clung to him like smoke, yet there was something devastatingly irresistible about the man who hunted monsters for a living,” Alaric read aloud. “Jesus! Vaelora!” He lowered the book and looked at me over his glasses. “Did you write this for a school project or you’ve suddenly picked an interest in fantasy writing?”

Of setting innocent lives against one another all because two men in suits have a difference of opinion. But this book is interesting. It’s about the original angel war. A warm breeze flows through the room. Tugging my hair and tumbling the pages. The wind curls around me when it lands on a page of a warrior. And angel above the rest. An angel that resembles my mother. Although his is much more built and has a stone cold expression on his face, the features are so similar to hers. ‘Train. Fight. Battle. Win.’ The wind whispers into my ear like a lovers breath fanning my cheek. ‘He dragged you into this. Drag him out of it.’

Instead, I would be grounded for a month rather than get nightmares for a year. There was dust on it. The particles made me cough as I blew to brush it off, only to inhale. I read the title as if it was in an ancient language. "Amihan," I whisper in the ancient tongue, pronouncing the word. It wasn't hard. Nay taught me a few letters of the ancient language, so reading the title of this book came in handy. Now here comes the fun part. I open the book to the first page and read the passage.

Blood spills out from open wound. I take a step back as Valdis begins to stand again. He sheds his black armor, replacing it with deep ruby scales.  His scales, are cold as ice, blaze bright as an ever-flickering flame. His chest holds a hearth of burning fire, although in his remorseless heart lays rime much like the depths of his eyes. He lets out a huff of steamy air from his nose, staring on at me. The officials in the room gather in the back. Waves of fear roll from them in large bouts. My father stares into my eyes sending a large bout of dominance soaring through the room. The intense pressure has me gasping for air but I fight the urge to submit to him by releasing my own dominance.

I will never become one of these lovesick puppies like those around me… “Yes. And this is Acelin, future leader of the Ventrel coven, and I’m sure you’ve guessed it, Alpha Adrian Da’More of the Blue Stone.” Acelin is next to shake his hand. Of course he is always so well-behaved. My eyes go to Adrian to see how their interaction will be knowing he is the more difficult one. I will not tolerate him being disrespectful to the wolf.

Liliana laughs when she sees Alana playing peek a boo with Aiden over Jonathan's shoulder. "Then you will love our library, King Orin may not have been a good man but he was a good ruler and kept an excellent collection of books. Alana, if you want to see him just ask." Ulric watches his mate with a pained smile. My heart sinks as my free hand drifts over my navel protectively, remembering that Alana was turned, so she is unable to carry a child. "Ulric!" Alana squeaks, her cheeks turning bright red embarrassed by her mate.

the lights went off in the lab, it was the time when they had to switch to the backup power. Olivia opened the pod first, she turned to pick the tranquilizer on the chair. his eyes flicked open , they were white, like that of the woman chanting spells, Olivia did'nt see his eyes, cuz the lights were out, and only the red emergency light was on, when she was about to touch him, his eyes glowed red, his wolf eyes, then it went back to it's beautiful shade of Chestnut-brown.

The both of them began walking to the staircase that led up, to the next floor, where Citadel K was. “So what other differences do you think there are?” Harold who had been studying a small-sized blonde who seemed to be crying in a corner turned to look at her. The student had the same stature as Derek, Harold remembered, but Derek had been a Enchanter. A wizard, precisely. There was no way this weeping student was related to Derek. “I didn't hear what you said,” he said, turning back to look at her. “What other differences do you think there are between the pup of an Alpha and a normal wolf?”

She then placed the unfinished book on the table. That caught Easton’s attention, though he had not been bothered at all by the way they had spent the past several hours. But seeing the girl in front of him finally give up, Easton sighed. He set down the book in his hands as well, fortunately having already finished it, then reached for the book Reverie had been reading. “Are all people from Bellmere as lazy as you?” the young man remarked, flipping through the pages of the brown-covered book one by one after quickly grasping its contents.
