Alpha Victor
When I exited the bathroom and bedroom, I found Victor in the same position I had left him in, "Why does you standing there like that remind me of some sort of bodyguard?"
He scrubbed his bearded jaw thoughtfully, perfectly arched brows scrunching together.
"That's because he was one, for years," the tattooed guy, Quade, said as he strode toward us.
I wasn't sure why it surprised me. Victor looked the part—tall, broad and muscular, broody, and observant, "That must have been interesting."
Victor's only answer was a shrug.
"What does that even mean?" Confusion riddled my tone.
