“You’ve been preparing this for years.” “Yes.” “All the meetings. His eyes gleamed, and for a brief moment, I felt like he was seeing right through me. “You know,” he began, his voice smooth and almost playful, “your name, Castiel... it means more than you think.” I raised an eyebrow, unsure of where this conversation was headed. “More than ‘shield of God’?” I asked, a little skeptical. He nodded, his eyes flashing with something like amusement. “Much more,” he said, his tone now shifting slightly. “It’s the name of an Archangel, one of the seven ever created by God. The ruler of Saturn, and imparter of divine guidance.”

I rolled my eyes, lowering my gaze to look back at my wrist as I reached to grab my now full mug, feeling also a little offended even though I still had no idea what was that stupid mark. “You don’t have to stare at it like that, though.” My eyes suddenly snapped up to his once I've felt him quickly grab my shoulders, turning me aside to face him. “Do you even understand the gravity of this situation?” He practically yelled in my face, sounding extremely alarmed, his tone dripping with seriousness. “Huh?” My eyebrows shot up, obviously taken aback by his sudden outburst. “Blake, Azrael is one of the Horsemen,” He kept ranting as I simply stared up at him, clueless.

She clearly needed reassurance that things were going okay. “The demon here is called Azrael and he is contracted with Beckah Griffen” he said to her. “Why?” Clara said quietly. Caiden processed Azrael’s use of the word ‘fruitful’. It seemed like Azrael might have made a contract with Beckah that involved the souls of other people. Caiden could not call his contract with Clara fruitful because he would only be receiving her soul.
