Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Monitors I couldn't see but somehow felt - graphs didn't spike. They shattered. "Biological Class: Error." Automated voice flat, inexorable. System never programmed for humility. "Ancestry: Non-existent. Mana Core: Critical Mass. Entity Status: Unquantifiable." "It's not recognizing her!" Junior Healer again, voice breaking upward into panic registers. Watching understanding of reality peel like old paint. "System thinks she's ghost - no, Revenant! Trying to categorize dead and alive simultaneously! Binary can't hold! Logic gates are-"

Beneath The Shadows

Beneath The Shadows

The body of the bastard hit the ground and relief instantly washed over him as soon as air returned to his brain. He crawled backwards in fear as the entity fell by the strange doorway. A pair of gigantic hands dripping in yellow liquid appeared and retrieved the body quickly and without noise, as if it was a toy retrieved by a child and the rectangular portal instantly disappeared in a flash and became a solidified wall once more. Even the strip of light beneath had disappeared.

Vampire Oblivion

Vampire Oblivion

What an overreacting, weak creature. They scurried off leaving him and their victim. He sighed and turned to the woman who's eyes are open wide and looked at him in full horror. Her neck is dripping with blood from each side and her wrists are awfully cut. Her own blood is messily scattered on her face and shirt. Her body is also starting to spasm because of the poison those stupid kids' fangs contain. She must be a college student judging by the tote bag beside her and the books sticking out of it.

GO back to the past, and change destiny

GO back to the past, and change destiny

The pain in my head and stomach made me very unbearable, and slowly my eyes felt very heavy and started to close. "Mom, Dad, I'm sorry," I said before my eyes completely closed. "Amber, wake up, Amber." Why do I feel something shaking my body? Didn't I die, and now that I'm in the hospital, will my womb survive in the end?

Reborn and Back for Revenge

Reborn and Back for Revenge

Luna, who had been cleaning the stairs, Karen, who had been talking incessantly, and Drew, who had been frantically signaling Karen with his eyes, were all struck silent. "Who do you think is the real head of this household? If you're unwilling to perform the part you're paid for, then feel free to pack your things and move out of here." I used to be too nice to the household staff at home, which led them to take advantage of me when I was gravely ill in my past life. It was only after I had been reborn that I realized that there would always be people who would take advantage of you—no matter how kind you were to them.

Retrograde

Retrograde

The formations are stalactites and stalagmites. There are bones of small animals scattered about There is an echo like a cave; the rocks feel rough and smooth. The inside is comparable to a geode. Angela finds herself lost; as she turns around. All she sees is dark when she notices a set of yellow eyes staring right at her; Angela walks to the back and steps backward; the eyes are moving toward her. The darkness covers the formation of this thing walking up towards her; she reaches backward and finds herself against the wall. “NO!” She screams as her palms start sweating; her heart is racing, and she is in fear. Just then, she wakes up; it's midnight; she looks down on the bottom bunk. Her f

Forsaken

Forsaken

His shadow was missing, leaving an eerie emptiness at his feet. Dizziness clouded my vision, and as my consciousness wavered, a figure materialized out of the darkness. Hayden, the enigmatic ruler of the mythological Underworld, stood before me. My eyes widened in shock and fear as I believed he had come to reclaim me, to take me back to the realm of shadows and despair.

CARNAL

CARNAL

"It's not bleeding that bad, you're going to be okay." Maybe physically. I looked around for the first time and saw blood spatter against the walls and furniture. Entrails and scraps of flesh were scattered around the living suite, accompanied by other evidences of dismemberment. Jai was cornering something beside the bed. His hands were stretched out by his sides as he crouched low. After what I had been through, I would have thought nothing would have surprised me. I was shocked, however, to see the mounds of black fur that peaked over Jai's shoulder.

System Of Blood: To Crave Survival

System Of Blood: To Crave Survival

I reached the core instance and aimed the absorption device point-blank. "Wait," it said, and for a moment it sounded almost human. "Absorbing a Class S entity will complete your fragmentation. You'll cease being the person you were." "Acceptable cost," I replied and pulled the trigger. The absorption was nothing like the others. Class S entities weren't just powerful; they were vast. The Recursion Anomaly contained layers of code I'd never seen, functions that governed how reality itself operated in Lenore. Intent mechanics, player respawn protocols, save state management, narrative branching logic. It was essentially a piece of the game's operating system given physical form.

My Hockey Alpha

My Hockey Alpha

“Talk to me, Nina. What happened back there? You scared everyone, especially mom.” I took a deep breath, searching for the right words. “I… I saw something, Ty. Something horrible. And it’s not the first time I’ve seen it.” “A vision?” He leaned forward, his eyes searching mine for clarity. “No, not a vision,” I corrected him, my eyes dropping to my fidgeting hands. “More like... an entity.” His eyebrows shot up, intrigued yet cautious. “An entity? As in, something real?”

the story is great don't get me wrong. this book is two parts as we speak, the first is when Nina and Enzo met and they get their happily ever after. the Book two is their life after marriage. let me just say "The story plot is getting redundant". the conflict presented is just repeating...

This started out promising and quickly turned into a waste of time. The FMC is a dumb, cringey, genetic, basic b!tch. Posts won't be shown without a 5 star rating, but this is definitely a 1 star. 2 if feeling generous.
